*** Battlefield 1 ***

How can it be "massively improved" to some and not to others, some players online over the last few days have told me it's not that big a difference, who to believe?

No idea, got the game on both the PS4/PC - PC runs perfectly no drops ever at 1440p and ultra settings even with streaming. PS4 it was super noticeable before with the drops, now it doesn't happen that often, you still feel drops but they are not as significant but are still noticeable compared to PC.

If this is the difference we will get with every game then i'm happy, will be even better once they harness the extra power properly and optimise it even more.

Does everyone get the drops as I've not noticed any problems over than spawning underneath the map twice in 50+ hours of game play

No idea, i do but then i do play at over 80fps on Ultra @1440p on my PC so coming to the PS4 version it instantly doesn't feel as good. So maybe more noticeable to me. Who knows but big improvement for me.

Started the SP today. Excellent so far, looks gorgeous.

For avid Battlefield fans, where would you rate this game among all the others? I've heard some say it could push for number one spot.

i've been playing since battlefield 2. i played BF2, 2142, 3, 4 and now this.

I gave up quickly with 3 and 4. felt far too fast paced for my liking. much preferred the feel previous games had where it wasn't so crazy all the time. I feel BF1 is still too hectic, but i do enjoy it a lot when it goes right with a good team. i'd say it's second for me. 2142 was my favourite. the titan assaults were fun and unique, and the overall feel to that game was right. BF1 does have great sounds, graphics etc, let down now by a few things, but vehicles in particular are not used in the same way as before. they can either completely useless in a match, or way OP.

Operations can be frustrating when attacking and you feel like you're the only person trying to push forward. But when it feels like everyone is pushing hard together it's the most amazing feeling if you win the round.

I've played every Battlefield and enjoyed them all. I have always played these games as infantry (not a big tank lover or a plane/helicopter flyer) so I am loving it for that and I am loving the older weapons. They've nailed the conquest maps and I am looking forward to more. For me it's difficult to judge which games are better than others as I said I've enjoyed them all.

I don't like the dumbed down medal system nor the fact that you can't customize soldiers outside the map. As an out and out shooter though it's a class act.

Has this changed much from the beta? I wasn't impressed as it mainly felt you couldn't take your time like old bfs and felt was constantly getting shot in the back with poor spawns etc.

The new 1.4 patch has seriously slowed down the quitting from post-game summary.

On a brighter note, I have been grinding the scout to level 10 as really wanted to try the Martini-Henry. Its certainly a fun gun but not overpowered due to the slow velocity and single round reload. Feels awesome getting a one shot kill though.

Most of all, it feels like its a well deserved reward for hitting scout rank 10, forcing you to appreciate the nuances if the scout class. Much prefer being a frontline player with a scout rather than sitting on a hill 200M from objective.

Just started the medic class now.

You can customize your soldier from within the UI by selecting either the icon on Home or on Soldier

Praise the lord!

I see they've nerfed AA. It was only a matter of time, we can't possibly have a Battlefield game without Air reigning supreme can we?

Lots of kicking off re: visual downgrade post patch on PS4

Theories range from it being on purpose to benefit Microsoft through to devs accidentally forgetting to reenable 'pro mode'.
