*** Battlefield 1 ***

Played 3 rounds of 64 conquest this morning on the new content. Not sure what the map names were but I liked what I played. Lots of trenches and tunnels! Think I'll have another bash tonight if I can drag myself away from Zelda.
 
I'm liking the new maps too. Trenches are good as are some of the close built up areas. Not tried the new weapons yet although I'm quite attached to the 4 I'm using, guess I should give them a go at some point. What happens if I want to play a mix of the new and old maps? Are the new ones part of the Quickgame>Conquest rotation or do I have to chop and change to do it? Got up to level 80 now and have 4days and 10 hours of play time! By far my most played game so far on the Xbox.
 
Have gone off one of the new maps now, its the one that's all in one building. Every game I've played is sprint, capture, sprint non stop.
 
Tempted by the new DLC and will probably just pickup a Premium Pass, just need to decide whether to add to the PS4 version I already own or pickup both the Base Game and Premium for PC now that I have a laptop that will actually play it!
 
Been getting into this over the last month and really enjoying it after years away from online shooters.

What's everyone's weapon(s) of choice? I've been mainly using these so far:

Assault: MP 18 / Automatico M1918
Support: BAR M1918
Medic: Mondragon Storm (just picked up the Legendary "Mexican" skin :cool:)
Scout: SMLE MKIII Carbine
 
Assault: MP18 Optical
Support: M1909 Benét–Mercié Optical (Just swapped to Chauchat Low Weight)
Medic: Mondragon Optical
Scout: Russian Sniper
 
I bought the Revolution bundle during the Black Friday week but I can't go online... I installed the game a couple of days ago and haven't been able to connect to EA servers even once since then. I tried at least once every day. I'm not in a rush as I'm playing other stuff at the moment, just wanted to grab it at half-price, but I would obviously like to get it to work eventually.
Is there a serious problem on my end or are EA servers just that finicky? I've read about many people having connection issues.


I'm on wired connection and every other game works fine.

Assault: Hellreigel,Automatico but i feel cheap using that one.
Medic: Mondragon Sniper, 1906 Sniper are my favourites.
Support: BAR Telescopic or MG14 ezmode.
Sniper: Do not really play as I think the class is cheap but when i do it is the Gewehr 95 or whatever it is called.
 
This is ridiculous, still can't go online no matter what... Tried forwarding all the suggested ports but to no avail. I can't remember the last time I had such problems with multiplayer.

Have you / your account been banned at all?

I remember having similar headaches with BF4 on the PS4. To play I had to set my router into DMZ mode.

If you are not happy to do that, then maybe try port forwarding for every incoming/ outgoing port from bf1 as well as bf4. Might help.

No, I actually made a new account when I installed the game (haven't played anything from EA in ages). No problems with my PSN account either.

I've already tried port forwarding but I'll give it an another shot as I only forwarded the suggested ports for BF1, not BF4. I don't remember if I tried the DMZ route, will definitely do.

I'm currently redownloading the whole thing, maybe something went wrong with the files as I completed half of the download on Wi-Fi (bad idea) but I'm finally wired, should've done it immediately when I got the console:p

Redownloaded but no dice. Will try forwarding BF4 ports later.
When I log into my Origin/EA account on PC it shows my PSN is linked.

Is there a way to relogin on PS4 without deleting save data etc.?

This is really starting to **** me off. A game that's 95% about online to have such issues is a bit preposterous. I'd be more understanding if I had problems with other online titles but they all simply work out of the box.
