Yep, threads should be merged to make things easier.

I would like to see WW2 game but lets face it, it will be trying to appeal to the COD crowd so it will be full of auto lock, left click to win, weapons and walling running / jump packs.

the hype is real, please please though be flipping historically accurate, no more of the futuristic pap. WW1 would def be my most wanted, although a different theatre in WW2 or even Vietnam would be maybe just as good. I'm totally fed up of gadgets, but I have a sneaky suspicion it's going to be something futuristic. Think it was Josh that made a very good point, all the assets that dice have, are all based on modern day combat, they've spent so long moving the franchise forward, going back to WW1 or WW2 could be seen to be a strange move.

TBH I'd be happy with either WW2 or a remake of 2142 which was my favourite older BF game. They way they talked about the future of battlefield games makes me think 2143.

Battlefield 5: Eastern Front rumoured to be announced on May 6th

The term Eastern Front is an obvious reference to the Eastern Front in World War II, where the Germans and Russians armies battled until Germany was defeated in 1945. One thing worth noting is that the supposed announcement of the game comes just before Victory in Europe Day, or VE Day, the anniversary/celebration of Germany's unconditional surrender and the end of WWII in Europe.

Eastern front could mean anything though.
It could be near future, west v Russia with insurgents thrown into the mix. It could be west v China. etc etc..

The timeline could be anything (Even 2143)..
