*** Battlefield 1 ***

I do totally get what you are saying. I never enjoyed the type of servers that you described but they are there and it gives the game a player base.

You seem to think if those servers were not there that they players on them would play on normal servers. You have already called them brain dead so they wouldn't they would run off to something like dirty bomb.

I have already spokn to a few fairly big EU clan leaders (who run pretty normal servers some with sniper limits on hardcore and so on) and they have stated they will not be renting servers.

Think about it. These servers will now be supplied by EA there is no way in hell EA will allow an admin of a rented server to kick/ban anyone (forget badmins for a minute) so it will be very similar to official. Stuck in game with a cheater which has to be reported to EA to investigate :(

It is strongly rumoured that people that rent a server won't even get a choice of what 3rd party company is supplying it.

I get your hate for certain servers but, if EA.DICE are actually going down this route it is sad times for PC.

bad time to have a mid life crisis. thanks EA :(

PS on my way to the survey to let off some steam :)

Again, I don't want to see custom servers gone, I would just like to see some limitations as to what server owners can do :)

You're beating a dead horse boys. Despite having a few good games with Haz the beta was not enough to make me pre order. I tend to agree with others here that the guns are not as fun and the gameplay is a little lacking. I wonder if this will go the way of SWBF and Hardline?

Who?

:p

If the game stays as it is and the maps are mediocre, my money is on it being dead within 3-4 months.

Easy Nex - I'm on a different timezone these days :D My biggest concern is that the beta was nearly as addictive as BF3/4. Maybe it's just because I have less time these days but I remember in those betas (despite being buggy) I literally couldn't stop play the game.

Didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would after watching trailers and reading about it,
destruction element feels off aswell some walls just seemed to not go down lol

Horse was fun though.

The Bolt action rifles are so powerful in this game HC will likely be a single shot kill anywhere on the body. Or, in other words, hide inside a building and pitch a tent all game.

As someone who played both the Alpha on St. Quentin's Scar and the Beta on Sinai Desert I much preferred the Alpha.

I still had fun on the Beta but St. Quentin's Scar just feels more right, for a WW1 game.

Yeah hardcore has almost always been an afterthought in BF games and usually doesn't quite gel with some of the features, etc.

It should be mandatory, I'm all for having fun and casual gameplay but putting 5x 7.62mm shots into someones chest for them to hide behind a corner for 20 secs to let the jamscreen disappear always feels wrong to me.

Hardcore mode for me is the minimum I expect from online gaming, I love one shot one kill depending on where you hit in other games, but the BF series has always got a good balance with HC I think, its not enough that you can spray and get millions of kills but it isn't the pure frustration I got with the beta of bullet sponges running away from you.

Yeah nothing more frustrating than bullet sponges :( I never really get the comments about spraying in hardcore and getting a million kills - I regularly used to go to scores like 50-2 (got double nuke a few times in one kill spree), etc. in COD series hardcore modes playing it fairly rambo which in theory shouldn't be possible if the other players could just spray and kill me :P

But in battlefield the maps are much larger, and hardcore removed the mini map meaning people can camp*cough* ahem, i mean defend a flag to their hearts content without people coming and hunting them down. This is the real reason people prefer hardcore in battlefield.

Same^^ I really like ww1 and ww2 but it felt off.
Maybe hardcore will help.

Aiming felt jittery not smooth at all.
Even moving the mouse slowly you could see it twitching.

drop graphics to lowest settings mesh ultra as most of us do in mp.even moddest cards cn run really good fps and its flys.

Really hope they listen to the feedback and get the required changes implemented for release day, don't want to see another bf3+4/battlefront/hardline where they only address the issues 6 months down the line :(

Add your feedback, you never know! haha.

One of the questions is whether you prefer BF4 or BF1 CQ rules. For me its the old way with ticket bleed.

I did, just like I did for bf 3, 4, hardline and battlefront alpha + beta.... :p

Yup, I also chose the old way for the CQ rules.

I noticed that the survey for this doesn't seem quite as thorough as the the survey for the alpha though :/
