*** Battlefield 1 ***

In previous games the medic was strong, they could push objectives, kill quickly and revive players easily. I could not play like that in the beta, maybe it was intentional that medics play a support non frontlines role, is that authentic to the World Wars?

I was VERY able to push objectives and kill quickly (extremely quickly) once I had that weapon unlocked. I was never able to revive easily though as I could rarely see where the dead people were and people seemed too incapable of doing a revive request.

I couldnt say whether or not medics in WW1 were non-frontlines but I dont really think that authenticity is an excuse for anything in a game where I can get riddled with bullets and have someone with a syringe come along and get me back up and fighting in a matter of seconds anyway :D

I played probably 80% of my beta time as Medic and found it to be a fantastic offensive class once you had that weapon unlocked, I was usually more successful at assaulting with my medic than I was with my assault ! (ended up just using my assault as an antitank class)

This is what I read...

"There’s also a pigeon game mode. That is to say it’s similar to Capture the Flag in a way. [The] Pigeon functions like a flag that must be held for a certain amount of time before [it] flies away towards the base carrying a message, thus scoring your team a point,”

Hey Twirlywoos, where does your quote sig come from? Seems pretty funny, lemme guess mr audio suggested a "surround" (xD) headset or something similar?

It's from a thread I made on the new sennheiser gsx1000 gaming amp in the Sound City section and was continuously updating it with new info. Thread has since been deleted.

It wasn't about that but Mr Golden ears, pro BF4 gamer, 13 post c'o'unt suddenly popped in and for some reason wanted to have an argument when I said that virtual surround sound historically is crap and I posted a video from David Sirland showing BF4s Audio Obstruction.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kaYec34gog

I said for me Hi-Fi mode on the STX and using BF4s mastering was sufficient enough for creating virtual 3d audio environment as it provides Head Related Transfer Function (HRTF) for better directional awareness.

He was giving his "opinion" how SBX, CMSS3D etc was better and stating it as FACT. Maybe he is one of those people who doesn't value differing opinions, maybe he has anger issues, but it prompted his reply in my sig.

What's funny is other people said they don't like Virtual Audio too as they find it has the echo, muddled sound trait and it has been mentioned again in the new threads that have been created since.

Sound is subjective, always has been and always will be but when someone comes in like a Bull in a China shop and starts acting high and mighty I need to give them a gentle ribbing even if it leads to an infraction :p

I've put him on ignore for now anyway and since he is passionate and an expert in audio technology he can create his own threads and be a useful little soul. :D

I played the beta without any problems. But going from this i don't meet the minimum spec for cpu o.O

Think they're drastically overstating recommended specs to say the least. Or maybe other maps are a lot more demanding than what was in the demo.
