*** Battlefield 1 ***

After putting in 25 hours I find the lack of weapons a bit disconcerting compared to previous BF games.

I know they didn't have the vast array of weapons back then as we do now but it just seems rather empty.

smug much...?!

Hey now! Let the pre-order brigade have their moment in the sun considering how many times they have been truly screwed over with the last year or so of awful releases :p :D

So you'd pay EA & Origin the full £50 RRP to try and refund if need be, but refuse to pay £4 for a 10hr trial (a price all your clan can surely afford) and IF you're happy then buy it from any of the dozens of sites selling for under £40 or get 10% off with Origin Access discount? Simply buying the game with the OA discount is cheaper than without.

Yes, pay for the standard game on EA/origin, I don't like it within the 24 hours/7 days, abuse their game guarantee return policy and get a "full" refund. If I do like it.... then again, abuse their game guarantee policy and proceed to buy the cheapest key I can find, be it VPN, CD key site or whatever :D

I refuse to support EA access, might seem great and all now but as I have mentioned plenty of times in here, it will only go down a dark path as with how most stuff started out with "good intentions", such as dlc, and what I bet will happen at some point is that EA access will offer longer exclusivity time, have games only available to EA access vault and/or as well as putting the price up so if you really want to play a certain game, you have no choice but to cough up for EA access as well.... This is the first big year for EA access and all the big franchise titles so it is going to be an important test phase to see just how popular the program is, then each year, they will keep pushing the boat further and further to the point where you are trapped behind another pay wall.

Is there actually a suppression system in this game? I've just been playing support and got suppress points but numerous times I saw a sniper and open fired whilst prone and got hot markers for him to switch aim to me and kill me in one shot.

Doesn't seem that great of a suppression system if that's the case.

Still cant believe its gone this far and the single shot weapons are able to aim so quick. needs to be a slow animation to bring the sights/scope up as loads of people who are good are just running and gunning with scout class weapons.

Welcome to sniperfield 1 :p

When can we start the preload from CDkeys?

The "idea" is that instead of having a myriad of different weapon/attachment combinations of which the vast majority are not really viable, there is a limited set of weapons each of which has a selected set of attachments that are not completely stupid. (That's not to say they aren't completely stupid as a minor balance tweak here or there could make a lot of the combinations useless and in BF4 a lot of combinations probably turned out good by accident).

Also there will be more weapons added in future DLC, which is probably a bad thing as there is a greater chance of them introducing a pay to win DLC monster gun by mistake. Take the mp7 in BF4 which was part of the China rising DLC. On release the thing was completely OP. It's still up there now after re balancing, but the fact remains that they released an OP weapon in a DLC pack. Oh yes and the bulldog pre nerf...

and the deagle...

Pretty sure there were a few other good DLC weapons.

I have no doubt DICE will add some OP weapons to the DLC packs for bf 1 as well, after all, it is another incentive to buy them :(

Bandicam will give you a very easy fps counter.

All bf1 bling bits listed i spotted on a yt vid

Always kinda funny to me where dice came from to this :p
Pinball Dreams. DICE's first game was built by five friends from the Amiga demo group The Silents
