*** Battlefield 1 ***

It is still more health at the end of the day and that is a massive advantage alone especially when the shotgun he gets appears to be a one shot kill, even at a decent range with a pretty quick reload time too.... Again, if you watch his video (even just stick it on mute :p), you will see him taking on entire groups with ease, basically a one man army, granted he is better than your average player.

And no, I am not basing all this new stuff I've posted on what I played, I am basing it on what I have seen from the current build. Tank hunter was practically useless in the beta, in this it now looks to be the best hero out of them all (except for possibly the SMG guy), not only has he got a beastly shottie but the anti tank rifle hits like a truck now, seen it doing up to 25 damage on the heavy tanks... Also, he looks to have binoculars that now outline tanks and possibly infy (?) through walls... reminds me of battlefront's built in wall hack :o

TBF, he hasn't got that much more hours than most of us in bf 3 and 4 :p

Get the trial, play it, then have your own opinion. Videos and some YouTube "celeb" can only tell you so much :) I think you'll find that elites don;t last a crap anymore. And with the amount of weapons people now have access to it plays very different as well.

When/if I do give in... it will not be until the rest of our group gives in first, which is only a matter of time! :p :D

And yeah, I might buy the game direct from origin to "trial" it instead (IIRC, you get 24 hours or 7 days to decide if you want a refund or not), don't want to support EA access :p

haha!! So far Haz is the only one isn't he??

I think it's going to be When not If ;) :p

Might as well just trial it now, seems a bit silly to have to wait on others to form your own opinion.

The only reason I put so many hours into bf 3 and more so 4 (as well as other games) was because of the guys I played with on a regular basis.

Also, this is our wee inside game, see who gives in first! :D

Tess got it earlier too.... SHAME!!!!!!!!!

haha yup, it is only a matter of time :D I got plenty of TV shows and shadow warrior 2 to keep me busy for now so :p

We are the DICE, lower your shields and surrender your gametime. We will add your eye to hand coordination and reaction times to our own. Your FPS will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile

TBH I'd say now is not a great time to give the trial a go as the game is clearly not quite ready. After a couple of weeks and tweaks it might give a better representation. There are things which will bring on the red mist in there at the moment.. :p

Better keep Roff and Stu away then :D:D

So you'd pay EA & Origin the full £50 RRP to try and refund if need be, but refuse to pay £4 for a 10hr trial (a price all your clan can surely afford) and IF you're happy then buy it from any of the dozens of sites selling for under £40 or get 10% off with Origin Access discount? Simply buying the game with the OA discount is cheaper than without.

I cancelled my preorder after they lumped us with that terrible beta map and badly balanced units and decided if they cant give us something decent to sell it to us at that point, im not going to simply ignore it and be met with 'what did you expect...', i might give the trial a go to give it a try with friends, but im in no rush as the WW1 setting and old weapons really isnt my thing so theres little enticing me, although the 4 new maps look really nice.

Is there actually a suppression system in this game? I've just been playing support and got suppress points but numerous times I saw a sniper and open fired whilst prone and got hot markers for him to switch aim to me and kill me in one shot.

Doesn't seem that great of a suppression system if that's the case.

Still cant believe its gone this far and the single shot weapons are able to aim so quick. needs to be a slow animation to bring the sights/scope up as loads of people who are good are just running and gunning with scout class weapons.

Enjoying what I played so far. Easy to see this build isn't final though. DICE have done some clever work here on getting server performance up to scratch for release.
These early starters and beta's etc are for server stress testing.

The 21st its the only date they guarantee you wanna pre load it before you have to get it from EA

Or pay 3.99 and get ea access and play the 10 hour trial and keep it installed for when you get the key which is what ive done.

yeh that's what i have done also, realy like it so far
