*** Battlefield 1 ***

CPU. The i5 is plenty for years to come crowd tend to go quiet in these threads. Drop to 1080p and you will know for certain that it's not your card.

Most likely answer yes. But over the years anyway the difference between the i5 and i7 hasnt been great in terms of pure gaming.

Even now when you look at benchmarks.

Although I can play the game ultra with a [email protected] and a 970 at 1200p both Dx12 and Dx11 (smoother with Dx11), I'm constantly getting the dropped frames icon.

Where is the bottle neck in my system? (I have 16Gb of ram)

I have a 6600k i5, 1060 6gb and 16gb ddr4 ram and I still get that icon. Only playing at 1080p aswell. As people have said, it's just a generic warning that seems abit broken.

Playing at 1080p on a 4790k and 1070 GTX although playing at ultra with higher than 60fps I get the warning occassionally.

I get the ping one fairly often as well, seems a bit broken to me as well.

25 hours and already bored :(

I've not even got 4 hours in and im bored, the maps are pretty horrendous,Not well thought out at all.

All the maps feel too small,Too many snipers,Too many campers (due to the amount of people sniping,so they're scared to move)..its horrible.

If i could have got a refund id have done it already..Ive lost all hope for the battlefield series now. :(

My i5 750 @ 4GHz is still chugging along just fine! :D Only game that really punishes my CPU is the division and some parts of gta 5 can have a few dips.

There is a video by digital foundry showing an i5 6600k beating all old gen i7's too in a decent amount of games when at the same clock speeds.

Sounds like a bug with bf 1 regarding some i5 cpus as the alpha and more so the beta ran incredibly well with mostly max settings. DX 12 give me better min + average FPS but had a weird stutter (doesn't sound like it has been fixed) but dx 11 was smooth to begin with, also, other people with i5's didn't seem to have any of these issues in the alpha or beta, at least nothing was mentioned on here, certainly not to the same extent since release anyway...

Either way, you all should be using low4pro settings ;) :p

lol, yup! I had 3-4 games with Hazard and Sidey last night and ended up going back to Division

Squad leader changes are good to gain control when your SL isn't calling out objectives, however it bit me in the ass last night :(

I was squad leader on operations, one squad member was spamming asking for orders. All the action was at point A so kept clicking Q on point A over and over.

Had a couple of minutes when I didn't call out the objective as I was on a good spree, squad leader shifts over to him. :(

Just really bugged me as the squad were decent and were all pushing together and reviving, resupplying, etc...getting good points for continual recapture and defence.

I had about 10k halfway through the match, only gained 2k for the rest of the match after the SL shifted to the other guy. :(

You can also place orders through the Q menu, not sure if you've seen it. I like it, means I don't have to have the flag in sight.

I just look towards the objective and hit Q until the green arrow markers pop up, it doesn't need line of sight.

Problem here was that because I didn't update the objective for a few minutes due to decent run, SL changed to the guy spamming "request order".

Last night I was SL on operations and the whole team was getting steam rollered on ball room blitz so as the map changed to Amiens I decided to ask if anyone else would like SL to see if would make any difference so another guy in my squad took over and it seemed to work better and we eventually won maybe it was luck or just the fact the other guy knew the choke points better but I ended up having the best round id ever had and a new way of playing the map.
Its not always bad when SL changes is my point I think? :P

Definitely.

This was one of those situations where only A was getting rushed so there was little point in keep changing the objective to B and then back again.

I think the guy just wanted the SL extra points, same as me tbh :D

My problem is that if I'm a gunner in a tank, I can't place an order without seeing the objective. Using the new menu makes it much easier.
