Most games I've played, light tanks are keeping well out the way and getting silly KDR because nobody can hit the *******.

That's the thing about tanks in bf1, unless you trust your team to stick around you, you can get swamped very quickly by assault class redcurrents if you try to push a flag, so most tankers will just sit back and farm. The chamond tank can be very effective in assaulting an objective as the artillery strike can be devastating to the enemy team, while providing a good spawn point.

Had some great games of rush last night against some tryhards (Trying to complete the new community mission). The last one was the best; Attacking on Prise de Tahure, nearly get stopped at the first pair of telegraphs (down to 2 tickets), just scrape the objective and then start to gain momentum up until an almighty clash on the very last telegraph. Epic game. 5 games to 2 overall.

Flanker tanks maybe, mortar tanks are meant to be long range tanks but depending on the map you have to close down the distance considerably. And the closer you get the likelihood is that assaults will start hammering you with at rounds\grenades, which generally equals a swift death for light tanks as their armour has been degraded to papier mache.

That seems to be very noticeable when you're using a shotgun, 1 minute it is massacring in close quarters the next its shooting feathers.

Yup, I think the shotgun shows it well while an automatico or mp18 has more chances to hit, so if a few of your bullets go missing it may not matter.

Yep I was using the shotgun as well; I understand there's a higher margin for error, especially when running the slug but there were so many times when a shot was dead on someone and nothing, not even a hitmarker.
 
Yeah had a bad one last night for our last game, some bloke was litterally appearing and disappearing in front of us and then killing us. Could have been cheating I suppose, but their score wasn't very good. Windows update didn't help much either. We had just had an epic game of frontlinezs which I thought was going to end up a draw, but we suddenly rolled them at the end. 2 flags and 2 telegraphs in one push.
 
BF1 is now on Origin Access! So now I have the base game, is the season pass worth the price and if so, what's the cheapest it's been before?

Three times now I've come across this guy in servers and the same rhetoric every time, kill him and he calls you a fag before reporting you then addressing you with messages with "xxx" at the end. Not sure if he's a porn recruiter or what 0_o

Same here, I gave up looking after reading more rubbish than was healthy.
I do sometimes have a peek to see what is being said if there is something interesting happening though, especially if it might involve me!

I was asking in the game chat yesterday about if I should buy the pass. Most people told me that the DLC isn't really populated, is this true?

I am mainly playing operations but I am really bad with my aim.
