*** Battlefield 1 ***

No issues here at 1440p 144hz, frames around 70-100 ping around 25-40, usually domination servers.
Same specs here apart from 20-30 ping and no issues, although I have only had enough time for one game so far, so it might be different when I go on again
No problems with graphics as some people have said with my Asus PG279Q ROG Swift 27" 2560x1440 IPS G-Sync monitor

I see have DICE have acknowledged the recent server lag introduced in the ITNOTT DLC and produced a video to explain it:

I don't know whether this is my PC or the servers, but on some days I can play BF1 multiplayer and it will be perfectly smooth and the perfoverlay CPU and GPU graph will be extremely smooth on all maps and I'll think that I don't suffer from the problems mentioned by others in the thread. On other days, such as yesterday, this graph will be a spiky mess on all maps resulting in lots of stutter and yet I haven't changed anything. Surely this is an issue with my computer as server lag shouldn't cause the graph that monitors CPU and GPU performance to go crazy, should it?

I have an I7 [email protected], a Palit GTX 1080 and 32GB RAM. I have big stuttering issues with the Witcher 3 since getting my 1080 and 1440p Gsync monitor BTW (this is mostly resolved by exiting the game and going back in). Other games are fine and when BF1 decides not to misbehave it's probably the best performing and smoothest game that I own.

I'm on Sky Fibre, but it's absolutely fine for everything else. Downloading things at normal speeds, speedtest registered the speeds I would expect and other online games are fine, so it's definitely a BF1 issue rather than a connection problem.

I've got a GTX 1080 and a 1440p monitor, only difference in our setups is that I have a 6700k and 16GB of ram, but I don't see that making much difference. Are you running Windows 10? If so go into settings>gaming and make sure that game recording under game dvr is off, and that game bar is also off. I've heard some people have reported issues because of those settings. Also, make sure that gsync is enabled for both full screen and windowed mode in Nvidia control panel. I've also noticed much smoother gameplay since enabling vsync in NV control panel (but disabled in-game) and setting an fps cap in Battlefield to 144.

I have 2600k/1080/1440p and do occasionally get some stuttering issues but not enough to ruin the gameplay.

I have now got CAT6 running to my PC to replace the homeplugs, so just downloaded the BF1 updates, and the entire CTE, so hopefully I can play if you guys happen to be on CTE tomorrow night or whatever!

I'm sure some of us will be on tonight (not sure about CTE though as although Waylander has finally seen the light we have a couple of old school origin access only prolotariat joining us at the moment)

Thanks for the suggestions, I've already done the above so that's not the issue. Just tried it again today on the maps I was playing yesterday and it was perfect with no stutter and I was looking at the graph often and no problems there. It's very strange that it was so bad yesterday and was exactly what opethdisciple was describing.

It's very possible that the server issues are simply down to load. bf1 has been busier on all platform recently, and it's likely that the same server hosts are hosting all three platforms:

Interesting looking at that graph if you set it to all history, PC peak players was 121k, down to around 30k for the last few months. Biggest dip in PC player count was during the first month of release, from 121k down to 75k.

Just come out of a game, played a few rounds and 2/3 maps were fine. Amiens though was wierd at start of round, FPS dropped to mid/low 30's a few times and everything went very laggy, then after a few minutes it all evened out again at 75-100fps.
Few lag spikes after that but nothing like at begining, wondering if I should be running DX11 instead of 12? read there was a few issues around DX12 a while back but no idea if there fixed.

Internet is Virgin 100mb.

This sounds exactly like the issue I'm experiencing. My rig can normally nail bf1:

Ryzen 1600, 1070, 16gb at 2800mhz and SSD.

I thought it was map related, but now I'm not so sure. I wonder if it's nvidia related only...

Anyone with amd cards having the same problem?

I use dx11 and get similar issues. Changing to dx12 didn't make a difference when I tried. There is definitely something odd going on.

Not home tonight sadly but will be tomorrow night. Working Saturday though so wont be a late one :(

been playing this again after purchasing the premium pass, well anyway i seem to be getting random battlefield 1 has stopped working has anyone else had this.
i recently did the cu for windows 10 is this a coincidence?

Its not broken its a feature, additional lag to make the antique weapons harder to use.
I see i'm not the only one who has gotten a bit sour about BF1 lately :P. It sad really cause i tried some of the other maps and actually a good time until lag just totally killed it and me. Was like playing with a ping of 300+
