Anyone brave enough to bayonet charge a flame thrower deserves the kill :D

I didn't realise that worked but will try it next time I see a flamer ;)


That type of thing brings my **** to a boil, just dice putting a gimmicky mechanic in the game that works essentially as a damage sponge when its activated.

Yeah, they should nerf bayonet killzone + make them take more damage whilst charging but also reduce armour of Tank Hunter and Pyro because at the moment it feels pointless to do anything else against elite classes but bayonet..

Elites have been nerfed quite a lot, flamethrower range was reduced a good amount last time and the sentry elite over range seems to have lost quite a bit of accuracy, their overall armour was reduced a while back as well. Can't say much for the trench raider or the smg elites as i rarely get them

You still using that old i5? If keep an eye on your CPU usage as if it is anything like mine was it will be fully tapped out at 100% and causing the frame drops.

The Bayonet charge is stupid, it needs a parry counter where you are able to doge it and stick a hatchet in their back, like the counter knife function in bf4.

Been saying that for ages now, plus the in close melee attacks where you essentially get "sucked" into a death because someone pressed melee at a specific range is equally as lame. No clue why theres no counter to these at all.
 
I agree with a dodge quick action button but not countering with your own attack automatically, you should have to follow it up manually.

The question that needs answered is what was wrong with regular melee kills? Dice just had to dress them up with fancy animations turning them into a single hit kill. Form over function, as usual.

Agree. I often find my self spamming F when they are in the animation. Only one of us registered.

Also do you have to long press to do the stab or just a quick press. Because it doesn't always work. Sometime you just do the small jabs and then maybe you get the animation.

Yup the potato masher is still going strong :D :p

At first I thought that too but one round, it can be buttery smooth and locked to 80 fps, next round, I get fps drops to 40's. Noticed that CPU being maxed at 100% some time too although it doesn't seem to make too much of a difference i.e. in division, all 4 cpu cores are constantly at 100% but the game is so smooth (in dx 12 mode)

What helped massively with the cpu/stutter issues was capping the FPS via a user.cfg file or rivatuner, the in game one is crap.

This is with dx 11 too, it is odd as dx 12 is terrible in MP but for SP, dx 12 is better than dx 11.
 
Absolute joke. Stuttering mess today with a perfoverlay.drawgraph plot all over the place. There is something seriously wrong with this game and it needs sorting. How can 24 hours on the same rig, same maps make so much difference?

... 20 mins later and it's all OK?!

All I did was remove AdobeCC from startup, reset and come back 20mins later. The perfoverlay.drawgraph is flat and not a frame dropped or any stutter.

This is annoying now.

Although now I can't find a server that isn't throwing up the "server fubar" warning every few minutes with horrendous lag. Can't believe they are still charging 40 euros for premium here.

Lagging like **** at the minute, scoring hits with tank shells, you see the hit but they don't register, plus zooming in seems to randomly zoom out as well.
 
I've just played 5 games and honestly didn't notice any lag or stuttering at all. All the new maps were playing really smooth too, my rig holding 100fps+ the whole time.
 
Had one massive drop. Went nuts on one of the new maps, frames dropped to 1-3 fps for a good 15 seconds, then back up to normal and nothing since.

One other gripe....horses, early 20th century horses weren't immune to gun shot wounds, like these ones are. I shouldn't be able to empty an entire clip from a BAR into a horses face and still get ran over/stabbed.
