*** Battlefield 1 ***

Yeah, it's the player appreciation sale on Origin, it's how i got the Revolution copy for £9.16.

I completed the campaign, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Haven't delved properly into multiplayer yet, but the animations for the weapons are brilliant.

Cute what they did with the price, (1)9.16.

Never got into bf1, i thought the pidgeon mode was a bit refreshing but doesnt seem to have many games going on. The rest of the game is just a boring sniper/tank camp fest untill one team gets a magical behemoth of bs appear to ruin the game even further, if the bulletproof armourd nights havent ruined the experience already ofc

Worst behemoth in the game is the dreadnought by far. Torpedo boats just annihilate it in short order. Plus for some weird reason it seems virtually anytime that dreadnought appears the map goes into fog mode, I've seen 2 instances on empires edge where fog didn't appear, every other time it did.

This game was rubbish. I doubt I'll bother with the following iterations.

When was the last good BF? BC2 probably.

Bad company 2 was a very good game. it's weird when you compare Bc2 to bf3, everything in bc2 seems larger in scale, not sure if its the field of view or something but tanks, infantry, heli's etc all look bigger on screen. It's like the scale in bf3/4 is made smaller to create bigger maps.

BF 1 has been playing pretty well for me over the last week but seen the below which apparently is one of the main causes of stutters/fps drops with the likes of BF 1 (essentially a problem with Microsoft/windows)

Might be worth trying, iirc, I heard josh and khemist mentioning FPS drops/stutters lately as well???

Sounds like it could explain why bf 1 plays amazingly well for me first thing after booting the PC but crap later on at night.

This has helped massively with my performance!

Still get some FPS drops but on the whole, there is very little hitching/stuttering now.

Doesn't look like that, at least it was a problem for me anyway.

The last few days the problems have definitely been server end. Get 1/2 way though a round you were smashing, wonder why the team has suddenly lost 3 flags and then see that the server has gone from 32 v 32 to 13 v 19. People getting random disconnects all over the place.

I had a few games earlier and the game ran fantastic. Didn't notice anyone drop out either. On the whole, the game definitely seems to play better in the morning and during the day than at night time I find though, just in terms of latency/fluidness.
