*** Battlefield 1 ***

Ok so I will guys tell you how this p00p will go down, I played with most of you for a while now and I see a reoccurent pattern.
When BFH came out most of the bf4 squad moved there even after ranting hard how p00p it is, they got lonely cos none of the usual where playing bf4 same happend with battlefornt first you resisted and then break down and shell the dolla dolla bill ya.

There will be a beta of bf5, we will look at it if its crap I will not buy (like I have not bought bfh and battlefront) but you guys at least most of you will buy it and then the rest will be bored cos no one is on anymore and buy it too. This is a reoccurent thing I have noticed. I still enjoy Bf4 with my man squeeze and others who occasionally hop in. I understand that it might have lost a spark but I am not throwing more cash on dice as they are as they are.
My measurement tool is if its as good as bf3 and bf4 it will last I said about bfh its crap it wont last...now all of you who bought it how many of you still play this ? and if so empty servers much ? Battlefront will be same story in 4 months. Or they will just get more DLC's to juice you more folks.

I love you All, I hope we can get back in time when we had 2 full teams on bf4 and I could rage on how much I hate you stacked penuses !

I am not a pattern and I refused to be a fool, dancing on the string held by all those bigshots. Never bought or gave into Hardline or Battlefront. :p

Hardline was a disgrace to the Battlefield name. DICE shot themselves in the foot when EA paid journalists & content creators to claim that it was the best Battlefield experience ever or whatever line they used.

If the next game is 2143 then compare it to 2142 the game that it is meant to follow. Whilst the game will have "Battlefield" elements you have to see what made 2142 great in the first place.

I take it for granted that not many people would have played 2142 (myself included) but when the beta is out I will look at balance, game modes, match making, hit detection, anti-cheat measures, map design, mechanics etc and these are aspects that DICE need to get right.

If this is another game full of n00b crutches and appeals to the console audience then it will be no different to all the other future, sci-fi FPS games out already so I will give it a miss.

As I said in another thread I don't care what the era is. Modern, Future or Historic doesn't bother me but I want a fun, fair, balanced large scale warfare game that makes me want to just shut up and play and not moan at x,y and z all the time. :D

I would easily pay £50 if they just took Battlefield 2 and left the game and mechanics alone but just re-skined it with modern texture packs and added the destructible environment from bad company in that would be perfect.

I loved BF2142 and if they stay true to it and don't take the **** I will likely get it. If however they **** up or remove titan mode, make it too futuristic with jetpacks, release 2 maps and promise more with paid dlc, or generally EA/DICE it up I'll give it a miss. Deffo playing the beta and this time sticking with my gut rather than jump in because of boredom.

While I like the look of combat in Squad, I just think it's going to be boring. I've heard no levelling, unlocks, progression etc so in essence not really much different to insurgency in that sense. Amazing combat feel but the game is to basic, nothing really to progress towards.

CS:S was exactly like that and I must've piled hundreds of hours into it.

I had bad feeling about the BFH and Battlefront so I avoided it and it was a good decision.

Only time will tell what does the bf5 look like and how does it play, but I agree they need to put 2016 graphics onto a battlefield 2/3 game

Exactly this. Nothing has come close to BF2. A shame the private servers I used to play on dropped like flies when BF3 came out.

The sad thing is we still buy it.

1000 odd hours in BF4, I liked it.

I won't be. The last BF I enjoyed was Bad Company 2 and the Vietnam add-on. BF and CoD are one in the same these days - exercises in milking players for money without adding much. Infact, they're getting more dumbed down with each iteration.

EA can bite me :p

oh it is anything but boring. get in the right team and it can be a heart pounding, sweaty palm inducing pleasure! levelling, unlocks, perks. you realise those are things that added to games whose core gameplay is ****? so they tack on a load of bumph - pretty camo, fancier looking guns, x42 zoom scopes - and all of a sudden people think they have a good game and go chasing the 'precious' things.

my precious......

Hmm. Sounds like they just got them to play 2142! That was my favourite BF game so a reskin won't bother me too much.

Also, I still haven't bought SWBF!

I still don't think anything has beaten bfbc2 it is so much better than he recent offerings, the destructible environments being the highlight.

Now it's just another **** poor EA cash cow which is a shame.

World War 1 would be awesome

Not sure that would work TBH

All sit in a trench for a couple of months waiting for some officer to blow a whistle.

We all go "over the top" get mowed down, respawn in trench and sit there for a couple more months.

If we get lucky maybe play a game of football in no-mans land at Christmas.

:D:D:D:D:D

:D

It's original, at least it would have that going for it...

Love battlefield but the thing I'd like Dice to do the most would be to reduce how bloated the game is. There are too many game modes and useless/ gimmicky pieces of equipment atm in bf4 imo.

The setting of the game is of secondary concern to me, although if I had the choice I'd probably keep it as a modern military shooter.

People were happy to play Metro on bf3, so clearly it works!

100% agree!
