Like I didn't have enough to play!

Based on this thread and a 2 for 25 quid offer in Game, I have just bought BF2 and Supreme Commander Forged Alliance. Having never played either, its gonna be a good weekend

If anyone knows a good server to start with I will be up and running when I get back from work

Don't forget to patch to the latest version.

Then hop on any infantry only server and get racking up some kills.

Find a 64 man city maps server

Infantry Only is decent enough, but IMHO only really works with Karkand. (All to do with the choke points on the maps)

Never really got on with the air maps, although if I can find a decent AA site I can be deadly

Also, if you have the booster packs, find a Euro Force server with the Oilfields map (Dunno the proper name off the top of my head)- IMHO thats rather good

BF2 is an excellent game, people haven't stopped playing it and I haven't noticed any decrease in players. IMO you have to play BF1942 - BF2 to understand what Battlefield is all about!

24/7 Wake 64man server on a Sunday afternoon.

Battlefield 2 is still the best fps, have tried different games but always seem to compare everything to Bf2 and all though some games are good like COD4 i always find i switch back, miss the squad play and teamwork you can get with Bf2 and you cant beat being involved in an organised tournament! With proper training and proper strats!
