I'm drunk 91% of the timeAre you based in Australia? If so, I reckon it's tied to your region.
PS5 crossplay off is really strong in UK/Europe and there's never a shortage of any players at any time of day. I guess this is another example of where a server browser would be really useful, you'd be playing on a terrible ping but at least you could see the PS5 lobbies in the UK and Europe and join those for a laugh.
It's probably worth giving it a whirl with crossplay off - but then you're pretty much at the mercy of the ridiculously talented Aussie nightbird pilots like Silk and AsheBF (although Ashe is drunk 90% of the time).
You don't have to complete it, you can just quit out immediately.Just opened this up for the first time last night on PS5 and you have to do an AI bot battle before they let you play the actual game; however there are no bots in my match, is this normal? I was just running around on my own and gave up and went to bed. Have it on PC and got it free on PS5, so couldn't be bothered to carry on.
The Irish trophy system? It's on a cooldown timer now, the changes they've made are actually quite positive. It can only take 1 projectile out of the air every 7.5 seconds - and Irish can only place two at once. Now broken again with those devices that kill off ALL projectiles, Grenades tanks RPGs all taken out by that utterly stupid thing, so invincible tanks and lines you cant push through. This was a problem the first time and they actually put it back in. The sheer incompetence by DICE is astounding, playing ONE game would have shown this, they cannot possibly be even playing their own game.
Yeah mate dozens of rpgs and grenades in the choke points was definitely fun and should be kept. Now broken again with those devices that kill off ALL projectiles, Grenades tanks RPGs all taken out by that utterly stupid thing, so invincible tanks and lines you cant push through. Thats whats broken..theirs no cool down system on them at all.The Irish trophy system? It's on a cooldown timer now, the changes they've made are actually quite positive. It can only take 1 projectile out of the air every 7.5 seconds - and Irish can only place two at once.
I think they're definitely needed to help with the explosive spam in this game.
Yes?....cause if playing breakthrough or Rush, all teh same maps stuck at the same points and everyone stays in the same position.Yeah mate dozens of rpgs and grenades in the choke points was definitely fun and should be kept.
Not.
There is, they added it in the last patch.Thats whats broken..theirs no cool down system on them at all.
Thats not happening in the lost count of many games I've played...they are deffo broke due to how many you see at choke points now. There is, they added it in the last patch.
I play Irish a lot and it’s definitely not as strong as it was, I actually think the 7.5s cool-down is too long. A good team will spam mini grenades to pop it - then throw the 10k other projectiles!
Not sure what to tell you tbh, it's definitely been changed with how it's working. I have almost 500 hours in 2042, I've got Irish to T1 and played him plenty pre-patch and a solid amount this season after they made the change.Thats not happening in the lost count of many games I've played...they are deffo broke due to how many you see at choke points now.
Wait..you can put down more than one at a time? Not sure what to tell you tbh, it's definitely been changed with how it's working. I have almost 500 hours in 2042, I've got Irish to T1 and played him plenty pre-patch and a solid amount this season after they made the change.
Right now when I put down a sentinel, it takes a few seconds to 'fire up' before it starts destroying projectiles. It then basically has an 'active' phase of 5 seconds where it shoots down projectiles - before it then goes on a 7.5 second cooldown.
The moment I see my sentinel shoot down a projectile I put another one down - it means there's usually a really short window of opportunity between each sentinel being active where I've not got anything to help with the grenade / explosive spam. If you've got a few Irish's putting down sentinels then yeah, it's going to feel like there is no cooldown.
If you think he's broken now, back in season 1 when the Exposure map was released and Breakthrough had 2 points inside the main tunnel area you would have half the team playing as Irish with a wall of sentinels! No cooldowns, just destroying everything that was thrown and they had a lot more health as well!
Yeah, you can place 2 at any point and they are on a resupply timer (a bit like Falck's med pen or Paik's scanner).Wait..you can put down more than one at a time?
When half the teams start playing as one character...ya know soemthings broken. Like when everyone started using the RM68.
Yeah the early release backfired massively and no doubt hurt sales significantly. They're trying hard to restore faith amongst the fans, but I don't know how many more times people will accept getting burnt by paid beta testing. This game keeps getting better with every season and slightly holding my attention longer each time.
Such a shame it came out in such bad shape.
The whole attitude of the operators was fun, jovial and light hearted. Like they were trying to pull in the Fort nite crowd. The whole lore of the game was about global fighting and war with millions dying and the Operators are cracking jokes and smiling at the end of each round? And the lack of set classes and some of their class decisions was brain dead. For example you choose the engineer type and you have to choose between repair Tool, Mines (which were unlocked much too late meaning vehicles dominated early matches way too much), Anti-Air or your rocket launcher, unlike previous Engineer class where your mines, SLAMS or repair tool was your secondary and your rocket, be that SRAW, RPG type or MBT Law was your other slot. And the distinct lack of lock on missiles was a major omission too. I also found the lack of stationery emplacements at flags a major omission too. In previous BF games you'd often find a TOW launcher that at least gave you a chance at damaging a tank that rolled into your Flag cap. Without them you can't do a damned thing if you're not the right class, and carrying the right load out. Again, vehicle balancing majorly in favour of the vehicle. That and also the lack of information about vehicle damage too. In 4 you know if you got a mobility hit you could chance running around or using that to get away. You get no such information in this, for all you know your damage doesn't stop the vehicle from moving or traversing the turret, you have no idea. Again, vehicles get the advantage.Yeah the early release backfired massively and no doubt hurt sales significantly. Still holding out hope for a 2142 sequel or reimagine.Has there been any talk of further classic maps? I'd love to see some Karkand or Gulf of Oman action in 2042.
Or in an ideal world, Camp Gib from BF2142. What a map that was.
