** BATTLEFIELD 3 - PREMIUM - IN STOCK AND SHIPPING NOW - FORUM MEMBERS, SEE POST #123 **

what are you guys smoking?
this is a rip off!!!

Pay 30-40£ now and IN 6 months they will bring out a few more maps and ask again for money, milking you again like a big fat cow

I paid 30-35£ for BF3 with back to Kandahar, and EA wants another 30-40£ for some DLC???

they can stick them where the shine doesn't shine!

DLC SHOULD BE FREE!

I paid £40 for this when it was released on battle-log and I have to say I don't regret doing so. That is if you are definitely going to buy all the future expansions, if so then it will work out well in this case somewhere around £6 - £8 cheaper. Not to mention with premium you get 2XP weekends each month and around 5 or 6 new weapons that are not part of the expansions which will come out later this year. Along with new camouflage and assignments for dog tags and weapons. So if this sounds good then definitely get premium especially from OCUK since it's such a good price.

Gotta say guy nice bargain. ;D

Welcome to the real world.

new knife too! (still as **** as the old one, but hey ho!)

I want to get someones new tags :(

I think BF3 premium shouldn't even exist but it does include the next 3 DLC being released after Close Quarters so hating it because it's just one DLC isn't smart.

Welcome to the real world.
:(

yep...where some people decide to put an end to a rip off and refuse to buy products from greedy corporations

I had fun with BF3 but I can leave it aside now.

a few more skins and weapons will not make it a different game, that's why it's a rip off

it's a lesson well learned for me, another person that's now saying "EA - never again!"

I paid £50 for GW2 , but that's a one off, and a game that will last me years

You do realise that companies have to make money, and considering all the effort that it does take to make maps, I think that it is a good deal, as there are about four maps per expansion, if you didn't have b2k before, then that's 20 new maps, with extra weapons etc, the main game came out with less maps than that and was around that price in the first place, how that isn't a good deal is beyond me, as they have to make money somehow, and if people are going to buy it, then why not? With the attitude of boycotting companies because you can buy (and no one is forcing you to!!) dlc off of them, then there will be no new games, and that is not a good thing at all.

Although I am getting annoyed that they take a long time to patch things.....

Enjoy your boycott, i'm going to go play some bf3

This. Dice said they wouldn't charge for dlc when they produced bc2. It's clear this isn't the case now. Now bf 3 has been a storming success. In honesty they can charge what they want and it still isn't a patch on activation releasing cod4 maps for the twelfth time.
At least dice produced a game for the pc that can realistically demand the asking price for its add ons

£30 for limited edition bf3
£33 for premium

Sort of pales Into insignificance when compared to an mmorpg sub or buying the new call of duty and it's `map packs`

In honesty I am only looking forward to close quarters. Not really fused about the rest but will be getting premium because it's a good price. I think the bf3 game mechanic will be interesting in a claustrophobic environment

I only really play bf3 online so it's not the end of the world to go and spend 30 boys on something I will get more than my fair share of use out of.

Don't blame ocuk for selling these map packs etc, It's EA's fault they are for sale and all ocuk is doing - is securing a better price for you to swallow.

Hmmm I'm not sure what to do. I have no interest in the CQ pack as I only like open maps, and I only know of 1 large map pack due for release. So I'm unsure of buying this for the unknown quantity of the remaining DLC's

No hope on getting the code emailed to us then?! Would like it at this price and also be able to play it tonight! The premium weapon M417 is an absolute beast!

Sorry to wade in and start something, but this statement is rubbish. The game was released, you paid money for it. The people making the game worked hard to produce more for it, and you think that should "BE FREE", so what? the people making the game need to work for nothing so you can get extras for free? Really?

I've seen this a lot recently and it really frustrates me, because it's not new practise. I can remember my first PC game, being C&C. Nearly 20 years ago now. Oh what's that? An Expansion pack was released for that? and you had to pay money for it...? Funny that sounds like DLC to me.

True the prices may be going up, but you know what, so are the costs of pretty much everything else.

the stock for the physical units doesnt get released until the 22nd. check the item description.

EA have given themselves a headstart.

I am personally happy to wait a few more days if it means getting it at a much better price.

Good price OcUK. Just pre-ordered mind. Shame you won't send the code via e-mail - would save money on P+P for us and yourselves, and better for the environment (in all scopes!).
