Ive just recieved bf3, it was crashing every minute or so... i looked around a bit and read that updating the BIOS on my 560ti would fix it, so i did it and it worked

Deploy button, doesnt work for me 100% ! who else has this issue? anyone know a fix?

SP keeps crashing after so many minutes for me. I'm going to try default clock speeds on my GTX 570 to see if it cures the problem.

EDIT: Seems to be OK so far with default clock speeds.

if that happens then just hit SPACE although you are stuck with the same class/Kit but at least you can Spawn.

I'm getting flickering issues where the game's textures turn to black squares.

Lock up issues are also causing me a problem

I'm using a GTX 295

GTX 570 Classified (BF3 Crashing)

Hello there, I am not sure what this problem is I will be playing the game fine then it will suddenly minimize on me and not recover, I monitored my temps with evga precision, and it seems to max out at 87'dc. Will this cause the card to crash. I have tried using different drivers/clock to standard 570 core clock/reducing the quality of the game, but the problem still persists. Is the heat that would be causing the problem or should I look into other factors.

Rig:
Q9550 (2.83), (H20 Cooled)
4 GB Corsair Dominators,
Evga 780i M/Board,
Evga 570 Classified (now at stock clocks).

Is there anything else I can try ? or would more cooling be advisable ?

bf3.exe has stoped responding and what I call the black screen of death

and of course can't forgot the lovely green flickering which is worse on some maps

funny cos didnt get any of this in the alpha and beta lol

Stopped responding, lockups in game, can't play for more than a minute or so.

Both single player and MP.

I've tried:

Reinstall DX
Reinstall Drivers
Different driver sets
More GPU volts
Reducing GPU stock clocks
Entire system at stock

Nothing works, I get the exact same problems. Had the game a week, managed to play an hour. :rolleyes:

Damn. BF3 started crashing again only this time it takes a little longer for it to happen with defaul clock speeds. Hmm.

I have/had the same problem with my Evga 580 Classified when it got to hot.
When it suddenly minimize and not recover is the windows cursor still blue in colour like on the BF3 menu? as this is what I was getting.
I just turned down the video setting from all ultra to high & it fixed it.

Yea that't what I get exactly I think, I tried that turning it down to high same problem, I think I may have to go down the route of aftermarket cooling

I've got a high end i7 with HT disabled and I still can't play this thing. I get a type of lag/stutter that can only be described as walking through treacle as I move about a map. Takes ages to just go through a door and sometimes I rubberband backwards.

was getting the 'internet connection timed out error' every 10-15 mins or so. fixed that thanks to somevody advising to disable uPNP on my router.

but still getting random bf3.exe stopped working issues.

also regular random drops in fps or no apparent reason. tho this could be punkbuster bfbc2 did the same for me for quite a while when it first came out.

currently just putting this all down to bugginess, but we'll have to see what happens after they, hopefully, release a patch.

I have been able to play some of the SP, but multiplay i have managed to get 15mins gameplay.

Above is my issue.

I have done everything possible, the only thing i havent done is, full OS reinstall, which im reluctent to do. Or disable Realtek sound, which i read may be the cause of the issue.

Every other game i have played which includes BFBC2, BLOPS, Crysis, Metro 2033 have worked brilliantly. This game i have had no end of issues.

Might as well add my experience to the pot:

Beta Eyefinity performance (all on low) was acceptable (45-55 fps) on 5760x1200.
Release I can't play Eyefinity because friend or foe tags are all missing, can't tell who is who.
If I load the game with Eyefinity enabled in Windows, but have the game res set to 1920x1200 I only get a background, no menus etc. I have to go into Windows, disable Eyefinity from CCC, then load again and I can play on a single screen.
However, the performance is pretty poor. I have to have everything on Low, grinds to a halt if I up the settings at all.

Rig is:
Q9950 @ 3.8
4gb memory
HD 5970

If I can get acceptable Eyefinity performance with this setup in Beta on Low I'd expect on one monitor to be able to up the settings - I just think it is still a driver issue with my card.
