Since the beta ended I went back to the stable release. Will wait and see what they produce before launch.

I am actually downloading from Origin, faster than my internet is rated at.

Connection speed is usually 700Kb/s. I am currently downloading at 2MB/s.

Pre-load will be done in 2 hours apparently. What the hell?!

Nah, the leftover icon from before the download started still shows XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX as the key, only the one that showed the download progress shows a proper one.

Same, my net is 13meg and I'm currently downloading at 3.3MB/s :confused:

It starts out showing higher than your connection can do but settles in at a normal speed. Mine showed 8.9MB/s (2.4 faster than my connection is capable of) when it started but then settled in at around 5MB/s.

Apparently anyone that has cancelled this and its still there for pre-load they will dissapear later today, as i bought it elsewhere but even after cancelling it its still there!!

Thats the weird thing, my preorder was cancelled since may but the game icon was still there, it wasnt till the other day that i got it removed entirely but when i got the preorder email it just appeared again. I can only asume they must have charged me for it back in may.

Ive played BC2 for 1200hrs in over 1 1/2 years...that was £30...which costs arround 2 pence per hour.

If I play lots of BF3...it wil cost arround the same.

What other entertainment can you get in life that costs less than £1 per hour, never mind a few pence if you play a lot....pretty much nothing!!!!!

Consoles pretty much pay 35-45 for all games. Never mind something you can play for utterly weeks/months on end.

Just pay the cash...its not even worth hunting for a fiver off!

BF2 cost me £25 if I recall.

1874 hours divided by £25 = 0.75p an hour.

I'm pretty sure game and game online store is the same. I.e. the ones who prevent some games from being available on release from steam.
