it is by far the best 'bang for buck' setup but you will need crossfire drivers. They seem to work very well in crossfire and I know some of the BF3 devs have chosen that as their GPU setup.
 
Considering how much exposure EA's Origin T&Cs have gotten I'm surprised so many people are willing to risk their accounts by trying to fool the system.

I think i remember on metro we had billboard type hoardings with BF3 stuff in them, so im guessing they were placeholders for mass in game advertising to get thrown in at release.

If its done mildly it can add to immersion, i mean for a map like metro seeing advertising billboards will seem normal, but if your driving around in Caspian and come across (bad choice of words) a huge tampax advert whatcha gonna dooooo!

My answer would be to demolish it with a tank but we all know advertising billboards will not be destructable.

I just hope they handle it right and that every map doesnt have lots of in game advertising.

Didnt BF2142 have in-game advertising in there??

Im not against realistic looking in-game advertising, however its become all too common for maps to be mass-advertised by 1 brand, so every billboard or signage is plastered with MOUNTAIN DEW or something like that. It turns something which could be relatively realistic and mildly subliminal to a degree, into 'Karkand - Sponsored by Monster Munch' :mad::D

Incase you dont realise you still get the DLC if you dont preorder from Origin, all preorders get it :) So just get it from the cheapest place or a retailer you trust that will get it to you on release day if that matters to you. No need to spend the £10 extra Origin is charging over most online retailers.

Ive got it preordered for £19.99 using reward points with physical warfare pack. Games have always come a day early at the latest for me from these guys.

As for the price of the DLC. If its anything like the Vietnam DLC for BC2, which I suspect it will be, it will be around £10 to buy when its released if you dont preorder

Cheers for pointing that out, should have made that bit clear.

I've gone with the same store as yourself, however i called them at 9 this morning to get some info, and see if they could amend my order to add my reward pts on, as ive got £10 worth too (and £30 owed, once they refund FIFA12) however to do so they'd have to cancel the order and let me re-place it, and i'll be damned if im going to the back of the queue! I've had mine in place since pre-PWP announcement, 30th March, and not chancing it... although now im thinking i'll go through origin for the VPN entry.
Im still really annoyed they didnt do a worldwide release, it would have been perfect for them, there tends to be more hype about non-friday releases because they're not then norm, and reserved for the heavy hitters... and yet BF3 doesnt seem to want to make that 'we need our own release day' statement, it just does what every other game has done - friday.

log in to origin like you normally would... then switch to your VPN client for the usa and start the game.

it will then do the region check (one time only too unlock) disable your VPN and play. BF3 on the 25th...

thats the plan anyhow.

just remember you will be playing with a high ping (i assume as only usa server may be live)

ffffuuu it keeps on telling me the game is not installed properly when I try to use vpn, but otherwise its ok.

Or because I have the whole week off and would like to play it early rather than Friday and only have a few days left off. I never played the beta so really want to have a go on the game with my new graphics card. I doubt EA would notice you have the game early.
 
oooh ok I actually did it.

here's how:

1. go to www.flyvpn.com

2. download their free client.

3. go to their free trial page, located on the navigation bar on the top. (make sure AV is off - it worked for me when i disabled bullguard)

4. launch the client and enter the free trial user name and password for KOREA.

5. connect to the KOREA server

6. launch origin (it may take awhile)

7. launch BF3 and it should work.

So you've been given your BF3 keys already?
Can they be entered into Origin to download from them (i would suspect they would, as they can, but just wondering if origin allows it right now).

If so, i'll order from them now, i've just not been keen on the idea of waiting for them (any of the key providers), i want a key early to let origin unlock it when i try to unlock it, hopefully early, rather than have to wait till friday them to email it on the official launch date etc.

If they are indeed keys, I will order one for a friend as well. Other wise it is D2D.

Could work the other way. If I use vpn and get in then on official uk launch i could be rank 20 and ea would see it. Dont know what they could do really though. Ive paid 39.99 for the game so its not really piracy is it!
