Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

Yeah I've recently just adjusted the saturation and contrast via CCC and it has made BF3 look a lot nicer anyway. I might just leave it, not for fear of PB mind. ppl have been using it for a while now and used the same thing in BC2.

Just not sure if I cba trying it, chaning comparing it etc.

Unless the next 5 posters said it was the best thing since....well...BF3 :D
 
Have any experienced engineers gotten along with the DOA-12 with the slugs and a 3.4x scope? I'm on my way to the first scope unlock and wonder if it actually increases the accuracy of the slug when zoomed in?

I started using the slugs for the first time earlier with red dot. Popped some guy straight in the head from about 20m and down he went - felt amazing.

the DAO-12 isn't that great tbh.

If you want to snipe, use a sniper, if you want to use shotgun at range, get the jackhammer and use frag shells.

What's the Jackhammer like compared to the USAS, out of curiosity? I haven't bothered to unlock it yet.
 
I hate BF3 when the team is utterly useless, how the hell do you play a map when not one flag is a friendly, not one ammo pack, not one health pack, only one person soflam in an entire round.

I'm pressing PICK ME UP on a tank it just drives straight past, I'm repairing a tank and it just drives off and blows up. Then a guy jumps in the jeep while i'm repairing it and gets teamkilled while throwing profanities at ME!
 
pub gaming ! this is what is annoying if you used to some sort of procedure or team work which you rarely find with randoms

soflam is next to useless unless you on a voice comes with someone you know. last night i was on the server with most of us and got about 3 shots off and thats only cause i was on ts with someone.

they should put the soflam in the javlin and launchers ;)
 
An-94 with rds and flash suppressor on maps like grand bazaar is amazing! That's if u can aim of course topped scoreboard many of times or if some is pretty good in opposite team with the aek ill usually swap back to that and rip him a new one instead! :)

But I do defo love the an94!

i dont get on with the burst guns, which is odd as in BFBC2 that was all i used
 
Getting miffed with the game crashing, can't even go two maps in a row without it throwing a hissy fit. Reckon it may be my pc running out of mem. Does the browser need to be open in the background once you've launched a game via Battlelog, or can you close it down once the map has started loading without any adverse effect?

not as good as the USAS, the USAS has less of a spread on it. But still pretty good for lunching its way through closely packed groups of players close up.

Came across a squad the other day on Kharg Island rush.

They were up on the hill using SOFLAM and javelins trying to take out the US helicopter and armour rolling in from the beach.

Me and my squad made it our mission to personally hunt them down. Co-ordinated attacks from the attack chopper, and 2 LAVs at the same time got them, and after that we just spent the next 10 minutes constantly following them around as they tried to get set up somewhere and repeat the process.

In the end they just gave up and left.

Once the enemy is wise to what your doing, and keeps making a determined effort to come take you out whever you go, you may as well give up.

how much memory do you have? if less than 4gb then worth upgrading at current prices

This is very annoying, also when medics dont revive or dish out health packs. Especially on hc servers. Playing just now and running around medics looking for health packs. They just run on by. If playing assault, i throw them out like confetti. Had to resort to picking up dead medics kit and healing myself.
