You can see the helicopter gunner bullets hitting them, but them not dieing because they are in fact hitting that invisible wall instead.

Theres loads of these "railings" in BF3 that bullets just won't pass through. They're walls with see through textures on them.

easiest way, i find, is to go around behind in a heli and wait at the bottom, then go vertically up and get them from behind from point blanc range

You probably have as its really glitchy. I don't fully understand exactly how they created the tower in the game, but i do know theres something fishy about it.

There are some railings on Sharqui Peninsula that have the same effect. You can get shot through them, but other times not.I fired a full clip of LMB (so 100 rounds) into a guy laying prone behind one and didn't get so much as a hit marker on him. I decided that they must be some kind of invisible wall and myself hid behind one in another game, and was then shot through them.

So i think its to do with bullet angles or something ...
 
anybody remember that Ray Steinerz pub frag video we were discussing a few weeks ago.

I found another of his earlier videos where his aimbotting wasn't so well disguised.

He zooms in, points the gun in roughly the right direction, it pauses, then suddenly moves directly to his head. He even provided a nice little slow mo just to slow it all down for us so we can clearly see it.

Just come off for the night, was a couple of ok games, but I was suffering from a large amount of stuttering and jerkyness on my screen. I'm not sure if my net connection was playing up or if my graphics cards are on the fritz, but I ended up having to put all the visual setting on low. Stupid Gtx 260 Nvidia can't release these new cards soon enough.
 
I was handing out my tags left right and center today. hope you guys appreciated that, cos it's not gonna happen again.*

gonna have to make a more concerted effort to start taking tags of some of you lot though. at the moment whenever i came across someone unawares, my brain says knife, but my finger is already pulling the trigger.

Would explain the delay in the announcement. Might also mean a HUGE download even if you don't buy the DLC, a la B2K. Won't bother me as I'm unlimited and get good speeds but if that's the case some might be annoyed.
