I have noticed that your scores with the tanks are no where as high as what they use to be though. Just shows how much they have been nerfed now.

I hate claymores especially on seine crossing, always get some support noob in the building of D who just plants them around the stairs and gets easy kills as soon as people spawn on D, but doesn't bother to capture the flag at all :mad: and if you go up the stairs BOOM! So easy way to clear the the noob out is to spam the skill tube! :D



What guns and unlocks are you guys using now? I have had to take the suppressor of my guns as with it on, it takes a load of shots to kill people, more so on softcore since the patch :(

Currently using M16A3 with foregrip, red dot scope for assault, A91 with foregrip, red dot scope for eng. and the M27AIR with foregrip and red dot scope.

The LMG's were more deadly beforehand I think, since there was basically zero recoil on the bipod. I've noticed that since the new patch, the recoil is quite strange with a bipod. You end up with a little bit of movement whilst you rattle off for 5-6 seconds, then suddenly a massive kick-back which appears to then settle down as you continue firing. Not sure if this is just a bug or something.

Also, destruction of aircraft/choppers is wierd now, I find myself dying and going to external camera and then the vehicle stops mid-air, then explodes.
 
Ya nexus can't play as aggressive as I used to or id last about 5 seconds against half decent players! Loving choppers at the moment tho! And g3a3 is awesome!
 
What the hell did they do to the mortars?? carnt deploy it till im in the enemies pistol range of the objective (rush) ye thats a great idea not!!!
Really losing my mojo after this patch bah :(

I know the feeling as well now :( :p

I very rarely get to try the helis out in this game, always a good couple in them that land every time they get damaged a bit so needless to say, they hog the helis the entire round :mad:. Shame, as when I do get to use them for a bit, I do pretty decent. What unlocks do you use now for the aircraft since the patch?

The change they have made is that the claymores disappear after you die. So in fact, people will now only use claymores in the way you've just described, rather than using them properly to defend chokepoints, MCOMs etc.

Seeing as they now disappear when you die, there's no point to using them for anything other than covering your own back. If you set them up to cover a specific point, you'll only have to go and reset them each time you die.

So what's the point in changing them? Especially as you've already described the best way to deal with them. It's not like they were a gamechanger. It's just another case of people crying because they got killed by something they have no control over.

So now they are pretty pointless for being used properly and only useful for securing a camping spot. Played, Dice.
 
I was just talking about them in general there, not as to why DICE did that as obviously it won't change what I said :p

Plus I have never seen claymores used properly for the reasons you stated there, always just to cover their own backs when they are camping somewhere to get cheap kills, as I said Seine is probably the worst map for this.
 
Anyone else getting some artifacting in BF3 multiplayer while using Ultra settings on a 6950 2gb?
Its not my card geting too hot,as its stock clocked and ive ran furmark extreme on it and no artifacts at all even when reaching 70c so it must be BF3 or latest Catalyst drivers?
 
Heatseeking and AA in general is still useless.

Sitting in AH-64. Lock on jet, 2 away, flares. Relock on, insatntly re-fire on reload, 2 away, NOTHING HITS. No flares, no nothing.
 
I don't think people read his post, the aa missiles are missing all over the show with no flares or ECM being used. Even if a jets just flying in a straight line they'd just exploding behind it a lot of the time doing no damage.
