Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

I don't get it, everyone bitched about metro from the moment the Alpha was out, and since game release whined that all the maps are too small, flags too close and the game doesnt have the huge BF feel that BF2 had. Now the majority of you seem to have succumb to it!! What gives?

I enjoy playing Matt's server when i get a chance as there's a fair number of people from here playing and the no rules rule is a good one (TWIMTBP) but due to the map vote system it seems Metro gets a play every 2-3 maps (and with 500+ tickets that's painful as hell. Matt even has a Metro 24/7 server now too :eek:

So why has everyone gone to the dark side? Is it just a point farming thing? Surely guys like DG and Jimlad have enough points already...So genuine question what makes u love it?

I don't think people read his post, the aa missiles are missing all over the show with no flares or ECM being used. Even if a jets just flying in a straight line they'd just exploding behind it a lot of the time doing no damage.

Yep, realised that yesterday. I don't even need to dodge them any more (which is still possible). This is all moot however because in trying to make them easier to fly they have stuffed up the manoeuvrability.

Its a silly map to noob tube, shoty frag round and general noobness. A find it a fun break from the normal stuff
 
It's the lols it creates. We all have a great laugh on Metro on temaspeak. Maybe it's the fact you don't have to run 10 minutes across a map to find someone. Obviously it's for the masses of points you can accumilate but it really is a good laugh!
 
Sniper rifles are a mess with this patch. The accuracy of the M98B and L96 seems to be all over the place. Just played two rounds of bazaar and metro 64 player and although I had a good score on both rounds, my accuracy with the rifles im normally very good with was lack luster compared to before. Noticed that I couldn't kill people hiding behind the gates either side of B on bazaar no matter how hard I tried and headshots with a M98B isn't gonna kill the person you just shot according to what I just witnessed (more than once).

The only possitive thing I can see so far is that the UI is vastly better, expecially if you are colourblind like I am, plus tanks are vastly easier to deal with which is a bonus.

Precisely this.

It's not that I cannot get missiles away before counter measures are back up. It;s that they have lost counter measures, I let off the missiles while they are exposed and nothing happens to them.

I spent an entire map playing in the air and did not get a single air to air missile kill.

Aye it is fine, not tried hardcore yet though, although I rarely play it anyway!

40% accuracy on the last game with the M98B. Not impressed with the hitreg at all though.
 
found someone hacking earlier and found the hack he used and where it was from .UC-Downloads sent off with details :p

so i think it may ban quite a few

Thats where i downloaded the fxaa injector from. Please dont ban me punkbuster, i dont use it nay more. :D
 
Speaking of which! :p Is there any way I can make the colours a bit more vibrant and colourful? :p Currently using the FXAA injector V1.3 beta performance.

I actually play a lot of TDM for that reason. Sick of people nicking all the vehicles or driving off on their own. Or some sniper lying somewhere and kills you after running for 1 - 3 minutes.

Couldn't help but laugh once when somebody nicked a vehicle from them, so he blew it up for it. Rather amusing watching the anger.
