Knew there would be others feeling te G3 love.

G18 is its perfect partner to make up for the G3's shortcomings at close range?

Not feeling the Foregrip though. Since the patch it decreases accuracy, which is exactly what the G3 is good at.

Heavy barrel offsets the foregrip.

93R and .44 Magnum worth a look as a secondary. The 44 is a hand cannon, 60 damage point blank from a pistol is just filthy.

The .44 is my go to sidearm of choice in all loadouts since the upper body damage boost.

Actually requires you to aim though so many people stick with the G18C :D

And a certain someone was pretty intent on removing something of ours (An annoying AA perhaps? :D) with some suicide tactics. intervention was in order!

I remember hitching a lift in a jeep with in cho face, we headed up over the mountain where i hopped out and took out a tank, looks very familiair to where i bailed out at in the above vid, if so luckily i did. Albeit i died a few seconds later to another tank.:D

Can anyone tell me why the game sometimes makes me look at the floor? It can be when I first join a server or 5 mins after playing, im forced to look at the floor and mouse wont move, works fine in the menus, its bizzarre.

Quick question guys. My mate's just lent me his Origin account with BF3 on to play, will I have any issues logging in/downloading the game and playing or is it just like Steam where you can log in, download the game and play?

Ta.

Seems to be O.K though when I highlight Origin on the taskbar it says 'Origin Beta'? Also how to I get the interface like on Steam's 'small mode' where it's just a small list of games and none of the other trash.

Depends on when you intend using your sidearm.

If you're going to pull it out as you go up a stairwell and in tight alleyways when somebody is likely to jump out at you, IMO you don't want a gun like the magnum. You place all your eggs in your basket with a gun like that in that scenario as its likely at that range, if your first bullet misses, then its game over. Plus its likely the target is going to appear suddenly, the firefight isn't going to be controlled etc.. All the sorts of conditions that you don't want when lining up a good single shot weapon.

At point blank range you want RPM. Thats why guns like the famas are so good in close quarters.

If you are intending on using it at longer ranges, and actively seeking people out with it, then maybe. But for a backup in frantic situations. I'd rather have the G18.

Ye g18 for me on maps where I'm attacking CQB mapamlike Caspian firestorm kharg magnum wins! Also mp433 I think its called is an awesome pistol took 4 guys out in 1 clip with it last night on Kharg

So I just found out my stuttering in BF3 is because of lag spikes when I have SLI enabled. When I turn it off I get less performance (ofc) but no lag spikes and the green/yellow bar are right on top of eachother, very stable. Anyone an idea what this might be?

What driver version are you using? Still getting a wee bit of stuttering with the 301.24 beta's, (fxaa enabled), no post aa or msaa set inbf3, high or ultra preset. Rolling back to whql 296.10 to see if that helps.

A bit better after the driver roll back, but has anyone found that with recent patches/updates, the game seems to be a bit more demanding performance wise. Im seeing drops to 45fps on a pair of 750mhz oc'd gtx 470's using the settings below.(frame rate capped at 65 in afterburner).

Used to never drop that low a few months ago.

Get the same problems in any other games?

not that I'm aware of

i just reformatted my computer and reinstalled just BF3 and the latest nvidia drivers and the stuttering is still there although it doesn't seem quite as bad now.

still very annoying especially when i got no stuttering with 6950 !!!

Has the recent patch improved performance? I'm getting much better frame rates when I fired bf3 up for the first time in 2-3 weeks last night. Did I miss something?

Performance seems a bit iffy, ive set my frame limit to 70 instead of 65, little bit smoother but unfortunately every server ive joined tonight has been lagging/rubber banding like crazy, that and a load of "you were disconnected from ea error" during games.
