.44 is a beast. I sometimes use it instead of my primary weapon to take people out quicker at range, especially when you only have limited time to pop shots off. Accuracy and damage is fantastic.

Also how to I get the interface like on Steam's 'small mode' where it's just a small list of games and none of the other trash.

Sadly small games list is as compact as you can get it. List icon.

About to start playing BF3 for the 1st time. Is there anything I need to know about configs or tweaks before hand? I saw someone mentioned running the game from the browser instead of from Origin as it doesn't lagg as much but can't find the post, is that right?

I'm really really loving this game! I've not played the original BF2 but in my opinion this is about a 100 times better than BFBC2. The maps are massive and varied, the game runs silky smooth at everything Ultra barring AF/AA and the sound is amazing! Playing normal servers at the damage feels just right, people aren't bullet sponges but they're not made of rice paper like in Hardcore.

Just a shame that Origin is so clumsy to use, opening about 3-4 different windows just to start BF3. If this was on Steam i'd snap it up in a heart beat.

lol you wouldn't think that judging by the insane amount of hateful abuse being thrown at every post DICE make on battlelog at the moment.

That may be of use if you need to adjust any settings for performance.

I've been playing it today for the last 3-4 hours and it really is astounding how big the maps are and how well the game runs. The only issues i've had so far is the rape handed out by pro heli fliers but then again that happened on BFBC2 too!

I went engineer with that other rocket launcher (the one after the RPG) and I have no idea if there is a mechanism for locking on, i've been holding shift but nothing's been happening. It seems to lock on when they're quite close but then the buggers pop flares, circle round and hose me with missiles lol.
