Also, what is with the 247 server being half full with people with 125MS ping?!

Agreed. Instant vehicle spawn does my head in so i try to avoid those servers.

Think the server crashed at about 1:20am. Was about to join and it disappeared off my list. Came back online a few mins later with uber pings .

Glad to play a maplist yesterday on Matt's without the server being on vote mode, saw some different maps :eek:

All our settings are default apart from tickets but the difference is only really noticeable once the servers full.

I've changed things slightly now. The server now has every conquest map (including b2k maps) apart from tehran highway, two rounds of each so you get to play as russians and us. Map vote will pop up on the second round, previous map will not be included in the vote. Tickets were at 200% (100% is stock) ive now reduced those to 150%.

After the second round is complete the teams will be scrambled if the last round was won with 200 tickets or more remaining.

Had a couple of cracking rounds yesterday with Tesslacoil and stoned penguin. I hardly get to play theses days with my job.

I never used that heavy machine gun on the Tank before didn't even know that I had it. I love the sound it makes.

Any tips on using the stinger? Was playing caspian border and not once in 30 mins did I take out anything airborne

Yeah stinger is currenly useless im afraid. Its ok for dealing with poor choppa pilots, but thats it.

The 100ms+ ping guys do annoy me. The worst part is when you kill them, without even looking, you can tell who they are. Well, i should say try to kill them.

When targeting jets the chances are all you're going to do is scare it off an attack run until it reloads it's flares.

The best thing to do is get between a jet and safety. Let it fly over you towards your team and lock it once to get it to flare. At that point pilots usually try to get back to safety until their flares reload, and as they fly over you again there's usually time to lock them and hit them.

This usually works this choppers as well unless the pilot is good, they just hit the deck and hide behind buildings.

Or just use the rpg/smaw, theyre far better against choppers than vehicles. Dice have got the wrong idea on this tbh. Javelin, rpg and smaw etc are anti armor weapons but better as anti air. Who knows, next patch well be able to use the stinger/igla against tanks.

Thats the truth sadly ,honestly ive had more kills taking pot shots at choppers and planes with rpg/smaw than even getting a hit with stinger/igla

Ive got 4 kills iirc with the igla against choppers, none with the stinger. All the choppers ive brought down have been with the following.

Tank main gun
Tank machine gun
Mobile AA
Rpg/smaw
M320 gl
And a pilot killed in his chopper with the M98 sniper rifle.

We did pretty good in those rounds, a few more ace squad ribbons too. Good fun. If you guys have teamspeak 3 and mics I have a server we can use in future.
