I think more people play medic than sniper. I play a fair bit of both, but I can out snipe people with most of my other guns when switching them to single shot so I don't think there is cause to say they are that OP.

In fact I think it's ridiculous that they are so weak in Normal mode.

Before all the nerfing/buffing of different weapons, equipment etc. I loved using an M16 with a x6 scope. Good at range with a couple of shots. And spray and pray up close. Sniping with guns like this just doesnt work as well as it used to.

Feel free to browse. Recon is my least played class.

As for you, un-install the game.

Wants team based game > Complains about not being able to deal with Recon > Clearly playing solo with LMG.

Cool, pretty much proved my point. Least played class, yet your 5th best weapon is M40A5, 3 kills behind 4th place.

Say's it all really.

And no I am clearly not playing solo.

Feel free to browse. Funny that a solo playing LMG player such as myself has more heals and resupplies even though I played 200 hours less lmao.

Now who is the solo player

The same heals basically.

As for resupplies.
75% of your playtime is support. Around 97 hours played as support.
25% of my playtime is support. Around 82 hours played as support.

So not only do you suck at BF3, you suck at maths and basic investigative thinking.

I imagine 90% of your resupplies are to yourself as you hold down the fire button with your 200 round magazine LMGs.

M40A5 is high on the list because I used it exclusively as recon for a long time. Counter to your worthless point is that my number one weapon is a SMG with a range of about 2 foot with over double the kills the rifle has.

I personally dont find snipers that bad in bf3. Keep on the move and your harder to hit, even if you want to observe something. Shuffle about while doing so. If a sniper does hit me when im moving, fair play to him. As moving targets are pretty hard to hit with a single shot.

Yeah sure my maths sucks, I played 130 hours compared to your 330. Pretty big difference, yet got more heals and resupplies.

Also you're time spend argument is worthless. Just look at the number of service stars and its clearly on support we are about even....

You got 5 and I have 5 stars..

Also, for added hilarity. You are whining about something you have NO idea about.

0 Recon score.
Never even shot a recon rifle.

Oh dear.

I have shot a recon rifle. On my friends computer and the reason I am not playing recon is because the class itself is ****. What's fun spending half the game on your own somewhere and trying to kill people.

Again proving you're are more of a solo player, sniper as a unit even in real life is about being on your own camping your ass off.

Uhhhm....... Stars are from your score not time played.

Why are you comparing total hours played then crying about resupplies as support. You have more hours invested into support, 130 versus 300 makes absolutely no odds when you are singling out classes. Single out a class, single out the time FOR THAT CLASS because you know.....Recon, Assault and Engineer (Those 3 other classes you do not seem to know about) cannot provide resupplies.

You have played support more, end of.

Still, moving on - You clearly have a very narrow experience of the game and a limited breadth of it as a whole. You are in absolutely no position to complain about snipers and their weaponry. Go play CS or COD.

Because recon cannot fire SMGs, PDWs or Shotguns...oh wait.....

Just because your narrow minded playstyle pigeon-holes Recon into a camping long distance role does not prevent those of us who know how to play to use recon as heavily offensive and very effective class.

You sure about that? Out of 87 weapons, you got 7 sniper rifles in the top 20 most kills. Not bad for a class you hardly play right.

7 sniper rifles in the top 20, dude that's almost half of your top 20 taken up by sniper weapons, a class you played the least. Strange statistics, don't you think.

A sniper in real life is also an intelligence gatherer/spotter, his key targets will include officers, communications specialists, heavy weapons crews and counter sniping. Not all of this will translate to bf3. But the spotting bit can.

Also, a recon player in an aggrssive role can be a great asset in bf3. With careful positioning of beacons and motion detectors. In this role, use a semi auto such as the SKS/M39 and equip it with a red dot or holo sight, makes for a very potent combo.

What about assault class. Clearly you got more playing time, yet I got more heals....

Again proving if anyone, you are more of a solo player.

Wait weren't you the one telling me a couple of post back, how I should use my class strength and learn how to play my class.

Yet you're the one telling me a sniper should be a close quarter soldier, when clearly they should not be. They were designed not to be, pretty much all the weapons you have listed are not class specific.

You are clueless on the matter. (Evidenced by your 0 playtime as recon)

Recon is not locked into a long range static positioned role.

I have played recon as aggressive close quarters just as much as I have long range static. Forward spawn beacons (Yeah, they are not just for your use parachuting to the top of mountains ) T-UGS on MCOMs. Location scouting with MAV prior to moving into an area. SOFLAM laser designation.

As for my top 20, nice strawman argument. The sniper rifles can ONLY be used by Recon, 1 of 4 classes. A lot of the rest have crossover between classes. It makes nothing but logical sense that a player with an even split of playtime across 4 classes will see a slight bias of 1 class only weapons in the top 20.
