Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

Does look kinda interesting warface. For single player, im gonna reinstall a couple of golden oldies, cod 1 and uo, mohaa and sof 2. Was cleaning out a cupboard yesterday and found theese old classics.
 
Having been playing this game quite a bit over the last few days, as I mentioned before I am loving it again.

However, there is a problem with the attachments, when one of your attachement slots is better of left blank than selecting the forgrip!

It just feels wrong.

All I know is that if BF4 don't have built in squad VOIP then they can stick it. There is no way I should be having to type stuff to my random squad mates about what's going on..

Don't get me wrong, I have a small group of a few mates that I have played different games with since BF2 days and we have a mumble/vent server which makes a lot of difference. But I met those in BF2 through playing on the same server and speaking through the in game voip, I just miss being able to chat to random squad mates to get some team work going. It has really taken some of the community feel from the game.
But on another note, I will jump on your TS at some time soon mate and try and charm the ammo from you :) Would be good to hear some others and see how you guys play as squads :)

Just got this installed today, a few questions. Why is it the game doesnt launch and i filter searches from there but i get sent to there website? why can i not find a game that contains players or at least more than 1?
 
Im just hoping that they dont raise the system requirements much higher than BF3 in BF4.

My PC is barely 6 months old. :o

thats EA/Origin for ya.

you'll need to configure the battlelog website to look for the servers.

when you get to the website there should be a few headings, one should read "Servers" or something similar.

click on that and it will present you with a list of options, filter by continent/country for the servers to start with.

than you can pick servers with 1-5 spaces, 6-10 etc, so you know those have players on them.

can also select the type of game you want, rush/conquest etc.

also, pick out if you want 16,32, 48 or 64 man servers.

hope that helps a little, if not hopefully someone can explain it better :D.

totally agree, i feel it takes away from the game that you can't :(.
 
Should be able to, dunno how many of our better players will be around tho. There would be no point us doing 5vs5 if we just have our regs. 8vs8 would work better if we don't have our stronger players...Up to you but Friday sounds good.

Sounds good, see how many we end up with on Friday then. Will do our best to get 8 together. I don't think we will have either Hadz or JackFrags. If it's overly one sided we can mix teams up. I've no issues with that, just want a small numbered game in a slightly more competitve environment, whilst still having a laugh.
 
You mean you want a game where you don't have to jump up and down in front of a player while spamming the request ammo console!

Swear I've seen myself do entire laps of maps trying to get ammo :rolleyes:

On the plus side its better than getting revived directly in front of the person that just shot me.... twice :eek:

Sounds great. I'll put a post up on the forum. I should also be hosting a mixed teams (up to 32 man) friendly 247 & friends / regulars / OcUK'ers scrim on our old server THIS Sunday if anyone is interested. Say hello on our forum CQ247.CO.UK
 
I'll check my local supermarket that sells horsemeat burgers for a hardcopy of BF3. 20GB download for premium will push my close-to-the-limit broadband well beyond and then some.
