I believe you can, there's a Customise option if you press Escape.

Hope DICE take away stuff like that with the premium package for BF 4, premium should be nothing more than just extra skins, different knives (in terms of look) and being cheaper than buying all the DLC packs separately.

premium could be bought from cd key website for like 18 euro or something. just suck it up and pay it once, yeh went from a bf3 hater to a bf3 lover it seems. it makes no nense buying the dlc's seperate anyway.

Doesn't matter if they make money from premium etc what matters is the ridiculous premium only server setting even when people have the maps.
It makes no sense and is detrimental to the game. Even for EA it was a stupid idea.
Barely been able to play this for a week as my connection has gone loopy
Get kicked for lost connection before I can play a whole round. Updated PB/virus scan etc so fingers crossed for tonight.
Safe bet is probably 5v5 inf. We may have more I'm waiting on commitment from some of the guys our end. Shall we put in a provisional day/time. How does Friday 8pm get people on a server, with a view to starting at 8.30?
p.s. Normal mode.
Note: we do not currently have a server. Which could cause this to crash and burn if we can't get hold of something between us.

I have the B2k and AM maps but yet can't play on that server because I am not "premium"
I paid for those maps and the base game, therefore I should be able to play on that server.....Although TBF, it is also the server owners fault too since they can enable/disable that option......
No point now since BF 4 will be out relatively soon with the beta in September and for me it is more the principle
The only DLC I have bought has been AM, which was for a decent price, £7 iirc, although sort of regret buying it now as there are very few servers that have my preferred game mode, player count etc.
Got B2k with BF 3 and CQ for free.
No interest in armoured kill due to it being more vehicle orientated
and end game looks pretty poor imo.And everything else that premium brings doesn't interest me at all.
Not a BF 3 hater (the game itself is great but it just had so much more potential), more of a DICE/EA hater

its detrimental to the game for us to them its detrimental to there business.
we see it our way they see it as the "business" . the companies do have to make money from these games. i don't agree with it but it doesn't bother me too much or as much as actual game bugs they don't fix or stupid things like excessive smoke o sunlight that blinds you.
I've seen you mention this all throughout BF3's lifespan and it really is silly of you.
Smoke does get really thick.
Have you never been outside when the sun is low in the sky and it blinds you to look in that direction?
Both immersive features which most other games actually lack in my opinion.
We have 3 verygames servers that can be used...
yeh and there normally is fog in metro's also...
no its a fast paced fps it isnt a sim the smoke is annoying and in places it shouldn't be like just coming from pavement and stupid areas even not in action.
the sun in this game is a joke . yes the sun is bright but how they have it in out door maps is retina burning.
the whole contrast brightness of the whole game is wrong and why so many different injectors and tweaks were one to try to correct it but EA have since broke them by patching.
gutting as the realmware one was perfect and could actually play without burning me eyes out constantly.
Yup the smoke/fog and sun light is damn annoying! (seems to be the "thing" to do with games these days.....) Even more annoying are the flash lights.....
