Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

Can anyone explain what is going on with the attack choppers? It seems that sometimes you play the map it'll have scouts and other times it'll have the full on attack heli's. Some people on YouTube are bewildered it has the attack heli's as they've not encountered them yet. :confused:

Conquest large (5 flags) has attack chopper and transport chopper. Conquest (3 flags) has the scout heli. There are very, very few 3 flag conquest servers though.

On console, they only get 3 flag conquest, I don't think they get the attack choppper, just the scout heli. That'll be why the youtube people are confused.

yeah that's what I was wondering, I see all these comments about them and they're scratching their head's as to what's going on.

I wouldn't say it feels much nicer, as the controls and utilization at the moment is terriable. But If they fix all the major bugs and utilize the game then yes it will be much better then BF3 as the graphics do look much better. I'm gone quote my friend "The game has nicer graphics, more realistic and not so candy'ish as BF3" ;)
 
The main reason as to why I think the game looks far better is because it hasn't got any doom and gloom filter on top :p

But apart that, the game looks better overall and no doubt will look even better with the final version.


Absolutely love shooting helis down with the tank shell and RPG, so satisfying and what makes it even sweeter is when it's the same person in the heli :D


DICE need to go back to the old way of supplying ammo and health, not this stupid tiny ammo/health pack........

In a video that someone posted in here with Bach talking about the beta, he said that premium users will get something a little extra "since they are premium"

I've sorted a few things now and can play BF4 without my gun automatically shooting or not shooting. I've started to try change my joystick bindings and it let me do it for on foot and vehicle but now I'm on aircraft it won't. It just freezes up for some reason?

Anyone else experiencing this? Maybe it is a Saitek X52 Pro issue. Though I am simply trying to remove the binding at the moment and it won't even let me do that.

The full sized health/ammo packs are separate from the small ones. The ammo box can be unlocked in the beta, the medic box can't be.

The small ones are meant to be personal kits, so they stick to players and will only heal/resupply bullets (no nades/launchers etc) for one person.
 
Yeah, I don't like it :p

Rather it just be same way, when I run out of ammo, it is usually RPG ammo I need, not bullet ammo :(

My profile is DonxRaul - Its my account now lol but my friend originaly got BF3 and hated it so gave me the account of which I took ownership lol hence the gay name.
 
Me and wes. had a funny BF moment earlier on.

Both in a heavy tank and on a kill streak, went to take A, 2 or 3 tanks there, we took 1 down and there was another on going up to the top floor of a, he was about to kill us but we jumped out and went to repair tool him, he then jumped out and we both jumped in and proceeded to kill him :D


Vehicle to infantry balance is really nice so far imo.

However, this will completely change come the final game since infantry will have more options to use against vehicles as well as vehicles having more stuff to use i.e. tv missiles for helis etc. So it is hard to say if vehicle balance will still be as good as it is currently.

This is why I prefer there to be fewer things in game than as much as possible as it is easier to balance and not as many things for both sides to worry about.

How old do you think this build of bf4 is? Personally I am enjoying it but it's obviously buggy and I am getting a little tired of the same map. It will be better when people unlock the ammo crates that can replenish rocket launchers as it's a little armor heavy at times.

Roll on full release though, I'm well excited :)
 
TBH, I wouldn't be surprised if it were the same build as what we saw from e3........

Definitely older than what they had at gamescon, which was a month ago iirc
