Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

BF4 definately seems to be the game to push overclocks. My 7950's had been stable at 1100 core in BF3 and every other game I played but noticed in this yesterday that a few textures were flickering, more than usual so downclocked and it disppeared!

Also at the end of a 75 minute (!) game of Obliteration (which is essentially broken without a time limit) I got a hard lock and the screen went pink followed by reboot which is my CPU overclock, again completely stable in a 7 hour sesssion last week (altho probably not 75 mins continuous possibly).

At least, I think my clocks must not be stable or is BF4 that sensitive?

Yeah same here, I had to take off the overclock on my ATI card, kept getting a red screen of death. First time I've had to do that with a game. Its just the memory leaks now which could be to do with the graphics card not sure.

game seems a lot more solid now had 5-6 games back to back no FPS drops no lag decent hit reg no crashes etc.. hopefully that r8 patch fixed a few things

Good to here. Right in time for the weekend. Were you playing on the 60+ player servers as they were very unstable for me before.

Also what are you finding is the most effective loadout for your Jet. I can't seem to get the hang of the JDAMs.

Yup unlocked everything for the engineer (I think).

Sticking with the RPG though, havent tried anything else. Will have to give the SRAW a try as well.

Well according to the wiki for Battlefield 3 (http://battlefield.wikia.com/wiki/SMAW):

It can disable a tank in two rounds, or destroy one with three. The SMAW is also capable of destroying walls and obstacles. If the player hits a tank in the rear, one round will disable the vehicle, and another round (totaling two) will destroy the tank. The SMAW can also be used against air targets, destroying attack and scout helicopters as well as jets with a single rocket but only disabling transport helicopters.

I've seen some vids on YouTube of people using it and it looks to be similar.

I just wanted a launcher that could be fired at ground targets but also lock onto air targets (the amount of times I've had the Stinger or IGLA and faced a tank is annoying)

Cheers MP for the game. We had no chance against a tank and 2 heli's though. :)

no worries, was a laugh, just wish i could get the viop working, no one seems to hear me :(.

and it would help if our tanks/helis offered some support but noooooooo that would be to much like common sense :D.
