I've only played for around 40 minutes today. It's a 'mood' game for me and I certainly can't play it continually hour after hour.

I've also got to sort my sound out. It sounds harsh and tiring on my ears at the moment. Will be my sound card/headphones combo rather than the game. Need to get a warmer, less harsh sound somehow.
 
Its back to completely stable for me... for now... still some pretty big sound issues and another moan about the "netcode".
 
Mine's been almost 100% for the last day or so. Already enjoying it more than BF3, except for when I end up on a team playing likes it's TDM on a conquest server.
 
Some good games tonight and some observations.

Stealth Jets are utterly useless in their current form. There's no reason to take one when you have the choice of an attack Jet. The guns are rubbish and they can't out turn a snail, never mind an attack jet. The attack jets cannons outdo everything to do with the Stealth jets and also chew up ground targets.

The scout choppers 20mm gun pods really need a buff. I used all my ammo on a LAV and didn't even manage to destroy it. I didn't see any repairs either.

Do you mean the standard guns or the 25mm unlockables? If you mean the latter then that's a bit of a joke if you can't take down a LAV with them.
 
The unlockable cannons, not the miniguns. You need the cannons to hurt armoured stuff like LAV's and Tanks but they're too weak. I know they will never destroy a tank in a single pass or single burst but 60 rounds into a LAV without destroying it is a joke.

Yeah, unfortunately I was on the receiving end of this on Shanghai map, hovering above the flag on high rooftop (C flag?) ....sry whoever was with me.

And yeah, had my first night of being on a squad that played together ystrday evening....thx guys was fun (still dying too much tho :rolleyes:) Especially penusisstrunken(sp?) making it his dying mission to get the guy in the other boat on paracel storm (when he wasn't crashing) lol

Oh and how the hell do u kill ANYTHING with a chopper....any type any target...can't even seem to kill lone infantry with little bird, even though the hit markers are reg'ing.
Even the aforementioned Shanghai map, mullering the guys on top floor by lifts, with hellfires....hitmarkers showing but still no kills.....must be polystyrene rockets...:p
 
Littlebird doesn't need a buff on it's 20's, the 20's are essentially for people who can't aim so that they can shoot Inf with them. If you want to take out tanks / LAV's equip the guided missile. The minigun is VERY effective at taking out Infantry, you just need to aim better. Lok up LyraBonBon / WidgetyBear's vids if you don't believe me.

In regards to Attack heli's, the gunner is there to take out infantry rather than using your main rockets at them. The rockets / TV missiles are for taking out tanks and the rockets will disable in 1 pass, the TV's will take 2 hits plus 1 or 2 rockets to kill a tank.

I started to get DIRECTX Errors last night? I hadnt changed anything on my system and it has started out of no where... Strange
 
dying after I'm well round a corner in cover is pretty awesome. As is shooting someone (they even did the little aargh I'm shot stumble) only for them to kill me and still have 100 health left.

still enjoying it so far besides these little rage points.
