Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

Bf games are notoriously bad for hit reg. The last moh games were great, almost cod standard. Bf3/4 really benefit someone with a high end fibre optic connection and a nice low ping. Im on bt adsl, upto 8mb but it rarely hits 4mb. On a uk server you get beat up pretty badly against lower ping players. 1v1 you fire first, but your already dead on the lower ping guys screen.

Always burst fire joe mate, (good trigger discipline) besides if you go full auto its hard to keep the gun down and stay on target. Little and often works better than all out spray n pray.

Are you bursting your weapons tho? Full auto is a no no over 5m, 2-3 shot bursts are the way to go.

Been playing these kind of games aslong as they've existed that aspect of it I have down pretty good, many years of cs/DoD, etc. Need a fair volume of fire to get enough shots that actually register though infact my instinct for control isn't doing me favors I'd get better results full auto probably in BF4.

EDIT: Need to find some vids by top players I guess to compare - all the random ones I've found so far just aim center mass at any range and go full auto and seem to kill stuff.

ur doing something majorly wrong... every AA radar shot ive fired had hit

its insanely OP

The passive ones I'm talking about not the full blown radar guided ones, they require you to maintain the lock, but if a chopper pops flares they go mental flying around the place. They can actually fly in a few circles then you can lock onto something else and occasionally have them hit, just very weird how they act.

ah my bad not used them before..

didnt know there was 2 different versions of that radar missle thingy lol :(

Bf4 is really bad for reg, even worse than bf3. Bfbc2 started on client side reg and it was woeful tbh. Due to community complaints it was switched to server side and it has been the best bf game of late. Even the last two moh games have been better. Even graphics wise, moh 2010 on max settings looks a lot better even than bf4. The cod series do get a lot of bad publicity, too repetitive, graphics never change. But reg in the games is fantastic.

Yeah the hit reg is a joke really. Its massively frustrating when you die when on your screen your around a corner from the person who shot you, or your shooting at someone and nothing registers....they really need to patch this game soon, or many people are going to get fed up and just stop playing.

After the game being relatively stable, yesterday was a nightmare for me. BSODS and crashes and a sound bug on flood zone. I got one BSOD on my last PC playing this game, the only one it had in the 4 years I had it. Then my brand spanking new pc does it 3 times yesterday playing this game. I should mention it's never done it playing anything else. Coincidence I think not.

What BSOD errors are you getting? Maybe it has to do with an overclock?

I had to pump the Vcore on my CPU because I was getting BSOD's too :(

To the people getting crashes, re check your OC. BF4 seems to be testing overclocks more than any game. I had to adjust CPU Vcore and GPU voltage slightly. Haven't crashed in 3 days

Just too add that was in a comp that was 6 hours prime stable and multiple loops of heaven/valley.

Check out xfactor, lvlcap and matimi0 on youtube, they are all very good players.

would be good if they made a game mode like cs , tdm and squad dm is just a complete noob fest :/

and always nice to see sniper bullet trails go right through people and not a hit register...

tbh mortars area **** take . should be nerfed.

should make either weaker and slow reload or only 3 rounds or something.

I really hope they don't. They nerfed it in BF3 and it became pointless. At least in BF4 it can actually be used effectively by the sounds of it.

Oh my, found the ACE52 CQB this weekend, not unlocked everything yet but with a 1x Holo (2x option), a stubby grip and of course a suppressor for maximum stealth it's a killing machine! Reminds me of my old fav the asval

I've not experienced mortars in BF4 yet, i play normal mode, but using them in hardcore is obviously going to be a slaughter.

If you're getting BSOD's I suspect your PC is not stable. Run a couple of hours of Prime Blend and try reducing your graphics overclock.

+1 for battlelog being better than in game browsers.
