Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

These new nvidia drivers are EPIC for me, no slowdowns whatever, OK maybe due to running SLI instead of one core, so I don't know how good... but I don't think I have had any crashes since the new drivers!

Vhappy with my 690 in BF4... I just wish I could say the same for A2 Wasteland where, if you set distance to Far or higher it runs out of VRAM pretty much instantly.
 
BTW, have they nerfed hitboxes in the patch? Was playing as Recon as usual yesturday in a HC Domination server, for once I went with bolt actions (siege of shanghai) and I noticed unless I hit the guy in the head, the hit never registers, I kept getting the blood animation without any "hit marker", or I would shoot someone in the ribs and they would jerk like I had hit them in the ribs...but no damage. Only headshots work, which is hard for 250m angled dragshots.

Exactly my thought, it's what i expect when i aim for the head.

I've been taking a break from this for a few days, been losing motivation to keep playing it, same feeling i had with BF3.

Alpha, Beta in BF3 and the Beta in BF4 was brilliant, then when the two were released, i lost motivation to keep playing it consistently.

BC2 is the only one where i played it everyday.

as with any game its often the group you play with that makes it fun. i get bored of single player games instantly unless very special and mp games if i dont play with fun people.

a lot played bfbc2 here together so maybe thats why you enjoyed it or maybe it was just " your game " that you enjoyed a lot at the time. i get the same enjoyment from cod 4 theHunter and oldskool games like cod 1 and united offence which sends shivers down my spine when just launching it (music is so awesome in early fps games like moh cod 1/uo ) :cool:
 
Had a play with commander mode on the iPad yesterday as got family over in the room with my PC... Think the lack of ability to post to chat is a big omission. Also the cursor wants to focus on people too much sometimes. Saw someone after ammo so decided to try and drop a supply by them, the game automatically focused on them when I clicked near them and I ended up dropping a crate onto them. They weren't best pleased obviously and couldn't even apologise heh :)

25 min rounds were giving about 13-14k points (but obviously no unlocks etc) - definitely not as fun as actually being on the ground though.
 
OK so something strange happened last night, my friends and I having a good blast on a server, doing really well and the round finished. Great we thought, good scores some nice points as we had boosts on.... Medic score = 21,000, tank score = 16,000, Assault weapon score = 12,000 and finally bonus round XP = 41,000 :o

Not sure what was going on but every round we seemed to get on average 70,000 points each :S normally we get 6000 or something! We did have a guy who was apparently rank 110 so we think there was some stat hacking going on?

I ranked up 3 times (from 26 - 29) within an hour.

Last game was on Shanghai where it was us 4 + a commander vs 8 pugs, (started off quite even then everyone switches..) we still won by 40 tickets :D
 
I will be firing this up today for first time... guess I should have read more about the state of the game before purchase as sounds like most really unhappy with it.

Short of it crashing on me constantly, I will probably be playing a lot this weekend.

Though I will download warframe, war thunder and planetside 2 to try out.
 
Cracking fun last night with Will Gill, Thundy and the boys.

Finally started to get my eye in again, but really need some new guns as I'm getting destroyed by higher ranking players.

Annoyed at my game crash later on,, but it was the perfect excuse for bed.
 
Ive unlocked all the shotguns so far :)
I love the HAWK12G with slugs! AND also the UTS with slugs omg <3.

Dont forget the Spas with Slugs UFF!!!

I run all of these with a laser and either 4x sites or a 1x holo and a grip.

back of the day of bf2 if you done stuff like that your account would be banned think they called it rules of engagement :)

or even called stat padding

I noticed something fishy last night aswell. Went from 49 to 51 1/2 in about 2 games and i was playing terribad....literally my score was around 2-3k yet i recieved a boost of like 20k - 30k point post match. The games were pretty short to which makes it slightly more odd.

I was getting random boosts as well yesterday afternoon. Not sure why and i am pretty sure I didnt activate any sort of XP boost.

Operation Locker 24/7 servers are very good for lots of points, (call it stat padding if you will) couple that with an xp boost for crap loads of points. To be honest the only way I have managed to get my Skill stat above 250 is from just playing on those servers (which just goes to show how it can be manipulated).

Also, I have just read that the "RGB blur effect" only appears when the enemy team has a commander that uses EMP so it shouldn't be present on TDM or DOM servers. Going to test it later and see.
