Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

I'm afraid that's just business as usual for this game. But it's so damn good when it works that I keep persevering.
 
It shouldn't be, it was working fine on Friday (well, as fine as expected for a game in Alpha).

Looks like installing pb with the install directly from their site wasn't enough, this appears to have fixed the issue:

Reinstall PunkBaster using installer provided in Battlefield4/__installer/punkbuster/redist/

Loving this game atm. I think I'll pass on premium for the time being though. Isn't China rising the first Dlc and it's free for those who bought bf4(mu code said anyway)
 
Didn't they have a big debacle when Origin/BF3 first came out, people read the terms and conditions and noticed something fishy about personal data gathering?

Since they had to change the terms and conditions I wouldn't put it past them to just do it anyway on the sly.

All I know is if I sit at my PC with BL open but idle, my mouse is constantly changing into a "busy" Aero circle and back every few seconds, the HDD light is flashing and my CPU level, whilst minimal, is not sitting at idle. Which begs the question, what is it doing exactly?

If I start Netbalancer and then run Origin, it loads, using 30kb upload, and then at "idle" it sits there and uploads data somewhere, 300kb of it so far... 300kb of what exactly?

Anyone else having problems with CrossFireX? Since this weekend several times when I join a server my CrossfireX is not working, I have to reboot the game until it works.

i would reinstall pb or restart pbvsc services.

The biggest piece of advice I can give is don't install win 8.1. I had the same issue and I fixed it randomly or not by disabling win defender, firewall. Don't use steam mover. Run the pb updater and ensure its situated in the bf4 folder. Pray.
 
For me that happens completely at random maybe for an hour then it will go away... this game is completely broken at a fundamental level :(

tried it and it doesnt seem to move the rocket, wondered if i had to hold down the fire button or suammt daft :confused:

as for camping snipers, if you really want to camp fineeeee, BUT :

a) spot the **** out of the map

b) snipe the other camping ******* on the other side, especially those lying prone about 10 feet to your left that i keep spotting cos there trying to kill me :mad:

not got a problem if people are in fire fights, its when there "having a rest" before they move onto the next flag that they could be more useful.

talking of changing the binding, why on earth did they think putting spotting and the comms rose on the same button would be good ?

i'm trying to spot the enemy but all it does is set the flag there close to as an attack point, when i've already told the squad to defend another flag.

Good games earlier with the usual people, just a shame there were so many campers on the enemy team and our own team :(

Going to back to 48/32 player servers though as 64 is too much for the majority of maps imo, just too chaotic and get shot from every corner of the map lol

Game has been running well for me in terms of stability i.e. not crashing anywhere as much since putting everything to low/of but hit reg. is still damn poor + today I had weird stuttering :confused:

Regarding hit reg. as some have said, it always seems to be when people are close to objects especially destroyed buildings.

edit:

I don't know why people bother with aircraft, no fun when you just get constant lock ons from like 5+ people, was a complete joke on paracel, couldn't go anywhere without someone locking onto us.

Thankfully I had marty repairing me though, just a shame I can't hit **** with the little bird lol :D
