Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

Yea is it just guess work?

well there's the unlock rangefinder that mounts onto your sniper rifle and give you a digital output of the distance from you to where your gun is pointed, so you can then use "V" to change the zeroing to match it as close as possible. or the other way if you don't have that is it use flags to help guesstimate ranges. e.g. see a guy around an objective, aim at the flag and it will give you a range to the flag...so at least you have a reasonable ball park figure ;)

With how bad I am at this, two weeks of double XP will be much appreciated :)

I don't find having to slog to unlock things all that fun. I want the good stuff, and I want it now! :D

I wonder if it would be possible to use the Battlepack XP Boost's during the double XP event? Boostception...

Well, I do still have a 100% boost which I am saving for a day when I don't suck :D

I need to get on to the training grounds to get more familiar with vehicles. I just can't get the hang of flying in this - either with M+K or controller.

When I see how good some of the chopper pilots are, I am in awe. It just looks like it comes so naturally to some.

But I don't get how people think heli's are underpowered. I still see them being a big threat when used by good pilots, and find them a royal pain sometimes. And when I swap to engineer to try to take them out, I typically struggle.

Had my first game on the second assault maps on Xbox one last night.

really like what they've done with the maps. Gulf of oman wasn't changed in layout at all, but then it didn't need to. Had so much fun just running from flags A to D on the beach as infantry.

Also played some of operation metro and can tell you that the changes haven't stopped the stalemate at all. Taking the lifts up to front lockers is akin to waiting to be shot like fish in a barrel.

And all that happens now is that left side stairs becomes choked, as well as right side stairs and front / back stairs. But then again this was 64 player conquest large. Might be easier with less players so all the enterances are more thinly spread.

So... shotguns? Any of them actually worth using?
QBS - seems like a BB gun, and the 870 takes ages between shots so usually unless the person is already hurt you're going to lose 1 on 1.

TDM/Domination lockers hardcore - do that til you unlock the slugs, I am told - slug shotguns have some seriously enthusiastic supporters (enough so that it's my next unlock target to try for).

QBS is one of the best guns in the game, granted it takes a bit of skill but slap in some 12G Slugs and you can even snipe with it.

I seem to be having much better luck with the M1014 compared to the QBS. Seems to take more shots with the QBS to actually kill anyone.
