Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

Seen one occasion tonight where i put two full mags from an ACWR into a guy from a few feet away. Only for him to turn and ohk me. Just the usual dice issues tbh, though tbf after the first few months bfbc2 was never as bad as the latest versions.
 
anyone please just can not get the game to launch
I get this now and again too. Hit join server but it fails to launch the game. Comes up with 'client could not connect' error. Closing battlelog helps sometimes, or just keep trying till it does connect. Can be very frustrating though.
 
It happened on a number of occasions to me as well!

1) Guy runs towards me head on, I shoot at him directly in the face, he still runs at me and is able to do a front on knife attack. Thankfully I hit F and did a counterknife. But still he should never have survived even getting close

2) Helicopter goes down and one guy parachutes directly in front of me(again), My M4 is pointing at his nose then his body while constantly shooting even in mid flight->ground. He kills me and is still at 100 health!

It doesn't matter what your ping is, what the network slider is at or what the server is doing, there are times when the game just does not register any damage has taken place

p.s The biggest *** take was being killed up to 2 SECS around a corner from a guy shooting at me

Its extremely rare if I can get hits to register on people parachuting - can kind of understand it with controlled fire from an AR though even then I should get some hits but even full auto from a stabalised LMG won't get a single hit until they touch the ground then its like they are magically hittable again :(
 
Hitting guys parachuting down in bf3 was pretty easy tbh. Got into a bit of a dispute with a camping sniper on an aftermath map once. Sniped him with an M98B while he was on a building roof. He had a spawn beacon up there, and proceeded to parachute onto the roof. Took him out with a single shot in mid air. Rinse and repeat a few times and needless to say he was livid. Just gotta lead em a little bit more.:D
 
Anyone else changed their mind about flood zone (as in from terrible to actually reasonable)?

I sort of enjoy the map but:

- completely pointless having the attack boat, barely enough room to move, can't even get to D flag......... let alone get many kills since most people are on the rooftops
- noob roof top campers galore
- campers in general all along the rooftops where C and B flags are

I'd actually enjoy flood zone more if it didn't actually flood, am I the only one that doesn't see the point? seems like they tried to make it cool etc but it serves no tactical purpose whatsoever considering none of the god damn flags are on ground level.
Also throwing in a random attack boat which barely has any room to move is another awesome idea.... (..not..)
But get rid of the flooding, extend the map more sideways instead of a long piece of streaky bacon like 50% of BF4 maps forcing everyone one direction and make it easier to get rid of campers off the tower and boom, good no disguised swearing!map!
 
Yes agreed on the attack boat front, roof camping and the flood itself which on that map seems like a gimmick one step too far. Actually like the other effects on Parcel Storm, Lancang Dam, SoS etc.

For some reason on SoS I keep getting sound looping crashes at random times.

If they filled the map behind the tower block towards the petrol station with a mixture of buildings and scaffolding/construction sections so you could easily move to and from that side and by doing so working the road bit more into the gameflow, widened out the water section on the opposite side a bit with more of a waterfront or dockland sort of theme and moved up the multi-story carpark so it had multiple direct access routes to and from the middle bit of the map it would be 10x more fun to play.
