Early game i get texture flickers on CF anyhow. It sorts itself out after a couple of minutes, im sure this patch will bugger that up even more. No sure if it is texture related, but the outside of locker is so snowy its impossible to see. Its so bright!

Im going to crack on with the Phantom prospect assignment tonight, get a tasty dogtag.

We will be rolling out a new server update throughout the day. At the same time, a PC game update [battlelog.battlefield.com] will become available.

Well the UCAV is reloadable but it seems you can no longer do the instant reload glitch :'(
 
Think I will boot up and see what this screen flicker is all about.

R16 and they still can't get it right!
 
just had a go of tdm seemed a bit smoother reg was decent people seemed to go down a little easier and that was on a normal server not HC :p
 
What the hell are these muppets doing. Just updated my game now my ground textures are flickering everywhere. :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

EDIT: seems to be a Crossfire/Sli bug possibly. I've just turned off Crossfire and texture flickering has gone. But I don't want to play at 40fps and I'm not dropping from Ultra :mad: Anyone got any extacy/madman??? might as well make the most of it
I've had this a couple times before the patch, but only have a single GPU.

I wasn't going to update but did anyway, dammit now you can't reload the UCAV of justice

Pretty much not point using it at all now. It fly's terribly, you can manually detonate it and, best it will disable a vehicle on impact. (That's when it doesn't bounce off the vehicle first then decides to explpde)
 
This is always the problem with DICE, they always have released stuff into games with little thought on how it will be used (and abused) they did it with the LAW / M60 combo in BFV and there has been countless other examples since. They then find themselves in a situation where people are abusing it (and why wouldn't they?) so end up going full pendulum on it and make it virtually obsolete.

It should have been a 60 second rearm or longer battery life with no rearm at all from the start, its meant to be a support gadget not a primary weapon!

yay so day I can attempt to use those drone things and they've been nerfed to **** :( ghhhaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy :(

oh well...new maps should be fun to explore at least :D

as regards to texture flickering... I've got sli680s and I've noticed some odd texture flickering. most noticeable on golmud railway, I'll fly off in a jet and the ground textures sometimes seem to go really low quality, like the area around F and from there towards the out of bounds zone with be a mess of maybe 7-8 giant textured squares (say each square is about the size of the buildings around F.

sometimes it's there....sometimes not... was wondering if it was something server related but who knows!

more fun rounds last night :) though still ****s in choppers crashing them instantly or bailing after one hit while there are two of us repping them.... /sigh


had a really fun round on golumed actually, pretty much from the start I was dropped off on F roof with my squad and I just let rip with stingers thanks to my ammo guy :D think I was on a 10 kill streak...then the enemy commander kept putting the "kill this guy" marker on me xD had really good fun as choppers would either run or die, ground troops we'd pick off as they ran between the buildings and my other engineers would take out tanks with rpgs n such......shame we lost by like 500 tickets haha!!! our squad held the flag well so no idea what everyone else was doing xD


oh also went on a rogue trans server to do the easteregg....found a server with "easter egg hunting" in the title with one other dude... thought "awesome....just the two of us....we can make it if we try ;) " but I join the server, he has all the flags (says 2 more players to start) and then continually deployment kills me.....what a douchebag....
 
the main one is not pushing objectives, without infy support you have no chance against the collosal amount of c4, mines, slams et al. Staying back just outside the buildings or in cover seems to be the way. It is all about the angles, and using the HMG against infy.

Most people will say it is camping, just easy kill whoring or whatever but at the end of the day, it is better to support the team and hold back the enemy for as long as possible rather than just pushing in and getting killed in a minute or so therefore you lose 1/2 tickets, a powerful vehicle (in the right hands) and the enemy can then move forward and cap another flag etc.

It is exactly how xfactor plays when in a tank, he will only push up when the infantry pushes up.

...yes once again...my mike was bloody muted!!!! Going to tell the wife not to speak to me during the rounds!

I take it your running sli/xfire mate? The round we were on earlier was fine for me. But ive moved to a single gpu now. A lot of multi gpu users on here are reporting texture flickering.

Yeah I am, I could barely see anything. A 670 doesn't cut it on it's own, so no SLI would be a problem.

Also, I am playing rubbish at the moment! :p
 
Been rubbish ever since bf3 here lol. Was running sli 670 until last thursday. Seen that flicker bug before but it was subsequently fixed via an update. I do miss the higher max fps of sli tbh.
 
I need to spend several hours on the test range in heli's.

Oddly, it's something that I though would be easier on a pad... but the control scheme is just wonky for pads... far easier with m+k.

Don't think I have even touched a jet yet.

Really?

I don't really miss my 670 SLI at all.

I really should NOT have spent money going 780, but I am loving it so far.

While in most cases the avg fps is lower... I think my highest playable settings are higher on the 780 than 670 SLI.
