Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

Yup, you killed crispy and he then said "above you nexus" but I wasn't expecting c4 :p

Oh you most definitely will! And I'll be sure to do a nice little teabag too :D :p

OMG I'm not playing for a few days til you forget  Actually its an old habit from BF2 where if you killed a clan mate you had to teabag or get slaughtered on Ts for being a pussy ;)
Some people dont like it but i find it funny and laugh my nuts off when I get it back

Nah that was me, could believe he got a c4 squad wipe! Doing the dodg3man dance on the little roof!

Wasn't expecting it at all!

haha yep did you like my moves ? Saturday night fever with a quick dip every now and then :D I'm expecting some retaliation though , maybe a squad scrum on my dead body

Dodger did you get us with the LMG as well? I just remember shouting

HE'S TEA BAGGING ME!!!!!!!! :D

Hahahahaaha yes there was a few of you parachuting in near B and I had the m249 with 3.4x scope , took out crispy , then he brought you for company next time but got you both (had to teabag for the fun factor and imagining the ts banter) before you sent in the big gun (Nexus) went for nade but changed my mind **** meself and he got me with 8 health left I think :(

Thats the beauty of playing with mates its all good fun

Dec 16 PC Game Update Notes
-Fix for a crash that would cause the game to stall, resulting in a sound loop. This should eliminate most of the problems relating to this.
-Fix for the SUAV (introduced in the China Rising expansion pack) not exploding when hitting enemy soldiers. While these indeed should be deadly, they were never designed for “roadkilling” opponents.
-Fixed one of the issues related to the so-called “Netcode” (see below for details)
-Fix for player tags not always showing when needed to, resulting in players shooting team members.
-Fix for graphical flickering appearing on terrain.
-Fixed the instance where players suddenly would transition into Spectator Mode while playing the Defuse game mode.
-Fix for a Defuse bug where none of the teams would win a round by letting the timer run out.
-Fix for players getting stuck in the revive screen after being killed.
-Fix for players getting stuck in the kill camera after being revived.
-Fix for the game mode specific ribbons being counted twice in the multiplayer progression.
-Made the NVidia 331.82 driver version mandatory for all players.
-Disabled DirectX 11.1 on NVidia cards that have outdated drivers.
-Fixed driver version not being properly detected on NVidia Optimus systems.
-Fixed a minor crash that could occur when bringing up the scoreboard.
-Fix for the issue where the game would get stuck in loading screen when players tried to join a Second Assault map without actually owning Second Assault.

“Netcode” improvement
We’ve addressed the so called “Kill trading”. This refers to when two players fire at each other and, seemingly, both die at the same time. The time window where a bullet could cause damage from an already dead player is now calculated as intended, decreasing the timeframe when players with high latency could get a kill, even though they should be dead according to the server.

so far one crash today :) fingers crossed

also if you use the magnifier add on for an assault rifle does it cause a penalty?
just in using it with AEK-971 and cant get on with it. unstable, inaccurate.
but with the M416 really good?
am using the Kobra sight

That sounds really really wrong:

A bullet already in flight should still kill whatever length of time after it was fired even if the person who fired it is dead - I'm fine with that. If they are having to hard clamp the time it can cause damage to reduce the trade kills thats extremely condemning of their programming (I can't really iterate enough how much that points at shoddy coding if true).

The problem seems to me to be at the other end - its allowing players to shoot in the first place long after they are actually dead and far too lenient on letting players run out of sync and having to tie everything together with hacked up outcomes :(

This will likely lead to even more complaints about bullet registry as people will see themselves as having fired before dying but their bullets having no effect.

"Made the NVidia 331.82 driver version mandatory for all players." - hope this is a troll or something only the .65s give me ok performance in heavy combat .82s are a choppy mess.

:(, So ****ed off. Was working perfectly and no they have ruined it for sli users with this latest patch. I have a day off tomorrow and china rising is out as well :(

I get a pop up asking if I want to play the game anyway on old drivers... phew.

EDIT: To be fair - some new z-buffer fighting aside - the game is running a lot smoother for me on this 780 - might give newer drivers a whirl just to see if the new patch has fixed the chugging with the newer drivers though I doubt it. Not had time to try out the hit reg, etc. yet though.

Not looked at stats at all, subjectively I find it feels slightly slower going to ADS with the magnifier in place than without (though that's mostly based on using it on my M249 rather than an ass rifle).

Don't think there is any penalty for having it fitted but yeah it does make going to ADS slightly slower - though its not much.

Been using .82's since i moved to the gtx 780, havent had much trouble with them so far thankfully.

Was using them for a bit on the 780 but though they work fine mostly the framerate drops a lot in heavy firefights compared to the .65 for me.

Sine the previous patch they seem to be fudging something to keep sound sort of working to :( the sound engine seems to be restarting for me 3-4 times a map at which point I get a popup about "you've plugged something into an audio jack" from the realtek drivers and happens again on exiting the game - pretty sure its a BF4 thing as I don't get it with any other games.
