Battlefield: Heroes [Video + Preview]

What didn't you enjoy?

I thought it looked awesome, graphics are amazing, weapons and special abilities look fun. It didn't really show much customization but I'm sure that will be entertaining as well.

The only thing that makes me sad, is that I want to see a SP WWII game with the exact same graphics now. :(
 
I really dont see this game working well in third person, bf series has always been first person....why change it now?

Its not trying to be Battlefield 3 though it's completely different to the old games. And as it says in the 1UP Preview, they're aiming for a more casual market who would most likely pick up a 3rd person game over a 1st person game.

Plus there's no point letting you dress up your character if you can't even see it. :D

It just looks too casual. I know that sounds imbecilic, this is a game for everyone, but I'm starting to think they can't keep everyone happy. Like the graphics though.

Vehicles look clunky, the damage model looks ridiculous, bunny hopping and tedious gun fights. I understand whoever was playing probably had flippers for hands, so I'm going to give Dice the benefit of the doubt. I'll be there on day one, but I have decided to withdraw all my prior emotion about this game so as not to be disappointed.
 
Seeing this reminds me of the good old days of BF1942. Especially the memories of riding on the wings of the flying fortress. I haven't had a MP experience as good as BF1942 and the DC mod since. :(

Obviously this will never live up to the previous BF games, but hey, it's free.

^^ Completely agree!

However the more and more I see it, the more I look forward to it. My 6 year old is going to love this. Its unfair to compare this to the other titles that share the name. Its free and meant to be fun. I for one will be playing this and I have been pretty bored with gaming of late. Can't wait

I still cannot see how anybody is comparing this to TF2? It looks and feels nothing like it. Its quite clearly Worms 3D but with people!

Thats it, not going to play this. Unlockable games in a multiplayer is no good unless its a MMORPG and you cant use your uber leet unlocked ness all over the noobs.

Major shame this is going to be a MMORPG. Well done, EA have broken it already!

But, it's exactly the same as the past two Battlefield releases and it worked great there. I'm not fond of Micro transactions, but they don't affect your performance so I don't care. Besides it is a free game!

I just hope they tweak the damage model, I don't like how many hits you can take at the moment.
 
Its not free if you have to pay to have stuff in the game. Micro transactions are a plague on gaming. They should be outlawed, and the developers strung up and bludgeoned to death with tomatoes!

Nice!

But still, the Micro transactions don't enhance your performance and are if you wish, completely unnecessary (unless you really love dressing up).
