Battlefield V

i too really wish the guns etc were faction specific - there would still be a hell of a lot of variety and it would just make things a bit more interesting and realistic, without massively altering gameplay.
 
into my first hour of my 10 hour demo.

initial thoughts:
* slow gun movement, then again I've just come from playing halo 5 and it's been a while since I last played BF1 so maybe it's that.
* never seen a Bell hover in mid-air! OK so some bugs with the destruction code which I guess (hope) they will work through and fix over time.
* Looks stunning. Running in 4k hdr it looks really good.

I'm really enjoying it to be fair. Will I buy it? not 100% convinced yet but still have 9 hours to go. lets say it's still on the xmas list for now :)
 
Picked up the Gold Rush Xbox One X today with BF5 deluxe, BF1 and BF 1943, just downloading it now, hoping for good things though, been playing BF1 (on PS4) to get re-acquainted!
Nice having an Xbox again actually.
 
Did anybody else get a small update today? I pre-loaded mine the other day but there was a ~500mb update this evening when I logged on.
 
I've always loved being a medic in the bf series but I hate the fact that this year they only have SMGs.... The maps are huge... How am I supposed to kill people who are more than 3 inches away with a damn SMG?!

It is a strange decision as every other class has a mix of guns, some of the SMG's are OK at a range but not what we're used to, up close though the Suomi is a beast with hip fire.

I normally play Medic and have up to rank 8 so far but have mainly playing support now.

There are more weapons coming and I guess the medic may get something then.
 
so having played another couple hours last night it's now a 100% buy for me.

Question is, are the extras in the deluxe version worth an additional £20 off over the base version?
 
Had a quick go on conquest, great fun. Started as assault, not sure what the default starting weapon was but it seemed quite lethal, It was an SMG I think.

The £20 difference was worth it for me just to continue playing it early as I used up all of the Trial time.

seen the deluxe download for £55 which is close to the standard edition cost. If you could share were you've seen it for £48 that would rock!
