Battleship (2012)

Has that Battle:LA feel about it. Looked OK at first then turned out to be pure balls.

Having Rhianna in the cast says it all really.
 
Well I just saw it, have to say it was cheesier than a wheel of Swiss but bloody entertaining. It doesn't take itself seriously and keeps it's pace up pretty well, starts off a bit slowly and really rather badly but once it gets past that and into the main event it's not half bad. It has just enough "epic" sequences accompanied but various AC/DC tracks to keep it interesting.

Also I have to say the way the incorporate the actual game is quite amusing without being stupid, the sequence is only about 5 minutes long and fits pretty well.

Just saw this - a very average film, but with some very entertaining moments. The dialogue was cheesy as hell and the acting very poor mostly (rihanna really can't act!). The CGI was excellent though and there were quite a few "star trek fire all weapons" type moments that I really enjoyed. Definitely a very male film and worth seeing in the cinema.
 
saw this tonight with the GF, was the film starting soonest when we got there out of the films i wanted to see. It was no epic but it was entertaining enough with some nice CGI and explosions 6/10
 
home from just seeing it. again the start was slowish, and the acting wasn't great..

but the explosions and cgi more than made up for it. loved the battleship, it was freaking awesome, with the huge cannons :D

I agree!! I'd certainly watch again, a great movie BOOM BOOM BOOM :D

8.5/10 from me, just some silly bits knocked it down a little
 
Just got back from cinema and it was very good, very entertaining. Nothing especially cheesy and whilst the acting wasn't the best from a select few, it didn't spoil anything.
