BBM equivalent

Whatsapp on BB's isnt great compared to the iphobne version, which i use to keep in touch with my non BB friends....at best whatsapp for the BB is basic compared to the other whatsapp versions.

I think its great having all these instant messaging option available....like i said im not keen on BBM going to other platforms as its something that keeps the BB different from the rest...if they do go multi platform then i feel the BB's will have lost their little special something.

Not on topic really but what's the point of BBM rather than just using texts?

Its just instant messaging...tbh if you unlimited texts then you dont really need to use it but for me, its done in real time...i get delivered and read confirmations...plus its done through a data plan...not only that with the popularity of BB's worldwide, you can have people all over the world ie i have a few friends in America/Canada that i keep in touch with and knowing that its not costing me a bomb in international text charges makes it much more sweeter.

Ive been using BBM now for about 3-4 yrs and cant be without it...makes life so much easier when planning to do stuff or things...its the same with whatsapp...works on the same premise...instant messages etc.

Also just to add you can send pics, videos and voicenotes via BBM without incurring extra costs so thats an added bonus.

Cheers for that. I've got a BB as a work phone but never even bothered with it other than work calls and emails. Everyone I know with a BB has it as a work phone and I think they (and me) are 10+ years older than bbm's target market.
