A defect implys it is someway inferior. And personally i would say to be called defective is even more insulting.

But as i have said repeatedly and am getting sick of it now, I don;t care what you call it I just can't be arsed to type out a long winded sentence every time i wish to describe it...

Because I like biology, and the chemistry involved. Also I act under the now obviously false assumption that people may be willing to hold a nice little debate, and not be all "omgz he used a word which may be interpreted as somehow negative OMGZZZZZ call *** police!"

We've developed/evolved beyond any other lifeform on Earth, so comparisons with other mammals are fairly meaningless - we're no longer at the point where our sole imperative is to breed and survive as a species.

Perhaps the human race is destined to slowly shrink over time until we become extinct, freeing the planet for the evolution of the next sentient species in a couple of million years.

Makes sense really. Heinz didnt have to pull the advert but its now all over the news because they did. Major publicity in all the papers for free! Makes Heinz be seen as a fair company and yet all they want is the free publicity. Anyone here who thinks heinz would have spent £10m a year on advertising yet pull an advert because 200 people complained is a bit silly really.

PS. I too think Tefal is hiding something... :D
