Beards

Really wish I could grow an epic beard. Always jealous of a mate of mine's. It's the most glorious thing you've ever seen.

Have to keep mine at goatee/tache with cheek stubble. Any longer and it's like John McCririck's sideburns, but wispier, crawling out of my face and neck. Just not thick enough. :(

Still occasionally I'll let the tache grow into a "creeper", where it covers the upper lip. Feels just right when drinking down a nice real ale.

I got rid of the one I had in April but have not shaved properly (just neatened up) since mid October so its coming on nicely again.

Think i'll try and hold out until at least new year and maybe keep it for skiing mid Jan.

i had a rather phwat beard for the past few months, decided to trim it to tidy it up, took off too much so just removed it. i decided my face feels naked without one now so re-growing again :p

Thats what i did before. I tried to trim it and the guard fell off and took a chunk out  - so the lot had to go

Haven't shaved in a week or so, my beard sucks, seems the left side does half as much work as the right and nothing grows closer than an inch or so to my lower lip. Pathetic.

I've had beards of varying lengths for over 10 years now. Having a proper wet shave would feel really odd.
I have a beard trimmer but usually I get it trimmed when I get a hair cut. My new a Turkish barber does a mean beard trim.

I've been growing my beard all this month as it's an acceptable month to have slightly outrageous or unwieldy facial hair. This is me as of 2 minutes ago:

I must admit, I'm very much looking forward to a trim on Sunday. I plan to retain the beard at grade 4ish, but for Sunday I'm going to make myself seudo-mutton chops by taking out the chin bit. Looking forward to looking particularly silly for a day!

I am a true pogonophile.

Its a good beard but it doesnt suit you. Your face beneath is too young looking. Babyface beard is no good imo.

I'm sporting a pretty thick beard at the moment, not only because it looks better than being shaven, but because I utterly detest shaving.

Lol this is still my favourite beard pic from when I had finished up work and was waiting to move out to the US - ended up shaving before I moved out because didn't want to end up in Gitmo :p

If you were to look at Seasick Steve's shaven face you'd think to yourself "that man needs a beard".

That face shows a life lived to it's fullest.

I just have a huge pile of whiskers, not beard like above. Its just like hairs trying to escape every angle possible lol. I can't keep it "neat" :/

I don't have an epic tramp beard but I do have a small one. Following treatment for throat cancer which necessitated the removal of my teeth I looked like a walking skull so I grew the beard to try and give my face some sort of definition. I bought myself a beard and moustache trimmer and keep the length of both slightly more than stubble but a lot less than a beard that could house a family of sparrows.
