Beards

I am not shaving because I am on my holidays, so it is nice not to have to do it.

So many people grow beards in work though...not that long ago that is was frowned upon, but now people get away with it.

I'll revive this thread again seems as im growing mine out again.

Its starting to look rather armish now and also a bit wirey. Can anyone recommend any beard conditioner, a razer for neck and cheeks and beard oil?

I use Percy Nobleman's beard oil conditioner and find it's pretty good. Definitely comes in use post beard shampoo wash.

Also, 1000 posts. Win.

I always have a beard, it grows so god damn fast that I can't be bothered to keep shaving it off! Plus having it is the difference between looking 14 and looking 24. I'm 20 but would rather look 24.

I was wondering who this was ! AHA

I wouldn't say epic tramp beard but this is me as of a few weeks ago:

With it I think I look my 33 years, without it I look about 15.

Did a month no shave, gf loved how it looked, but not how it felt.
Tried various balms and oils, but I just have coarse, rough facial hair, so back to shaving for me.

I have made repeated attempts to grow a beard, my facial hair can be a little patchy in places but not enough that it would be a problem once the hair gets past a certain length.

HOWEVER - after a week / 10 days of not shaving my face just gets insanely itchy. Like its being eaten by a bunch of angry fire ants.

Is there anything I can do to push through this?

Seriously though. It will get better. It's just that the hairs aren't long enough yet to not tickle your face. Wash it often, I found that helped.

I found that regular washing and conditioning helped as this keeps the hair soft and less likely to itch. You could also try beard oil, which not only softens but gives your beard a shine and makes it smell great.

To be honest though the itchy phase shouldn't last much more than a week so just man up and power on through!

I still apply beard oil (I've been using "Brisk Citrus Beard Oil") and comb mine daily and trim it about once a week to maintain the length I like.

I'm not a hairy person, so no beard for me. If i leave it for 5 days, i get some patchy half-assed attempt at stubble.

I don't like beards as it gets irritating after a few days of no shaving but I'm tempted to go a whole year without shaving and see what the results are. Along with not cutting my hair for a year either e.g big hobo style.

Im the opposite, mine is soft but does not grow much and tends to look like 14 year old me as glued hair to my face.
