It was getting late and i lived around 3 miles away which i didn't fancy walking so i rang my brother and he pcked me up. We both decided that we were hungry so i said i'd shout us to a burger at the local Kebab House.
I went in and ordered and i saw someone outside in a car so i went and said hello to her as she was a very old school friend and is cousins with someone who i used to be best mates with. We chatted about where we were working etc... and out of no where her boyfriend walked out of the Kebab house, said "don't talk to my girlfriend" and hit me in my jaw/lip (which is now swelling up quite nicely lol).
I then walked off to my brothers car and rang the police and gave them the car's numberplate and luckily i know the guy's name as i actually went to school with, and now work with his sister and i know that he has a criminal record and has been inside before.
Why do people do this? I was harmlessly chatting to an old friend and he obviously got jealous.
How far can i push this as i want to press charges and take this as far as i possibly can.
As i said, he has been inside before and has got a criminal record so what is likely to happen?
The police will be round my house tomorrow morning for a statement etc...
I'm not in pain really, i'm just annoyed that their are people around who do this and it really bugs me that they are not inside for longer

The guy has a criminal record as it is, and they will be arresting him shortly. I'm suprised that the police have actually done something with this.
Will see him in court i guess.

The OP has kind of been shown up as not someone I would trust with my GF, but either I trust my GF or I don't. I still am not going to assault someone for talking to her whoever they are.
Someone who's first reaction is physical violence needs to be dealt with severely.

Aruffell said:It was completely innocent, i've known the girl for 15 years, never had any relations with her and was best mates with her cousin.
It's pointless talking to you lot on here because you try to take a pop at every opportunity.
