Seriously, from what Boullier has said about running out of ers power half way around the lap I think Arai is basically saying they think their ICE and therefore their 'peak' power might be up there with Ferrari but 160bhp of that is from the mgu-k and is entirely dependent on how long you can run it. So if you have a 850bhp peak engine it's a 690bhp ICE.

Sustained bhp in these cars is the only thing that matters at all and Mclaren are absolutely nowhere. The problem there is Arai seems to have thought that peak is all that matters and ERS doesn't matter to much. Which means frankly their whole design is useless if they don't get ERS is important.

Yup, though he had no real pace but neither does Massa without a tire mismatch. Not really sure what that is about.

Perez having a good race. Do wonder where Vettel/Rosberg will end up after pitstops.

EDIT:- Perez seemed to pull out a gap after the overtake in S2 which is more downforce dependent, bit surprised he's pulling away from a RBR in that section of the track.
