Belgian Grand Prix 2015, Spa-Francorchamps - Race 11/19

They followed alonso for quite a bit as Nasr was behind him, did anyone else notice how little harvesting it was doing. Nasr's red light was flashing into basically every corner and down the straights(does it flash when the mgu-h starts to harvest as well as it should harvest down straights?). Either way for whatever reason they aren't harvesting much at all. Battery is pretty standard afaik so the only real explanation for not harvesting in corners is either the bbw is unreliable/bad so they don't trust it or the mgu-k is overheating and they can't afford to harvest much or it will kill the mgu-k.

I'm surprised they're allowed to continue.

Me too, my expectation was that a mistake like that would be a slam dunk DQ. Being allowed to continue with a fairly light penalty and not even rectifying the situation is farcical.

You can guarantee that every team will now be analysing each race to see if there are any situations where running mismatched tyres will provide a benefit that outweighs a drive through penalty

Down to 3.4s now, Rosberg has put in a couple of good laps.

rosberg made up 5 seconds in the stop but looks like he pushing his tires also in the opening laps.

I point this out every time, Rosberg tends to push pretty much every lap and has worse overall tire life. Hamilton goes easy for 3-5 laps and has better pace over a stint. Lose a second over first 5 laps, gain 3-4 seconds over the next 15, maybe more gain.

Happens literally every race yet commentators never mention it.

Wait, how did Rosberg get there?

Gained 3-4 seconds out of the pitstop then he burns up turns a bit gained another second, Hamilton probably lost a second behind Vettel before he pitted as well.

Be pretty peeved as Hamilton as if they pitted him first there was a good chance Rosberg would be behind Perez and maybe Ricciardo as well.
