Helmet cam is fantastic. So great to see it back after a few years away. Fingers crossed it's available in the race too. The car engine sounds better through that view as well, the low down grunt at low revs sounds like an old 80s turbo.

And Max dumps it. Wonder if that hit on the rear right will have killed his gearbox.

Yeah. Also significantly better quality too. But that'll be just the natural development of cameras. Mobile phones will have helped a lot there with their cameras.
 
Ouch, not somewhere you want to get knocked back onto the the track either, as we’ve seen in the past. Must be one of the most dangerous spots on the calendar. Luckily they had slowed down by that point.
 
Halo has definitely saved a few lives already, it's ugly but it works.

Was there oil on the circuit or was it just the domino effect of braking to avoid the accidents and the aero unloading?

A change to the run-off from Raidillon has already been planned, which should make it much more unlikely for cars to bounce back into danger.

I believe there's also a plan to reintroduce gravel traps to most fast corners, except Pouhon.
 
Ouch! That's nasty.

Hamilton said there was a nasty bump at the bottom of the compression in Eau Rouge since the mudslides and flooding...
Looks like they all lose the cars at pretty much the same point, could it be they were hitting that with cold tyres reducing their ride height slightly?
 
That was nasty and I’m glad everyone is okay.

Tell me, I heard one of the commentators say that the cars were based on the F3 chassis; how do the women’s lap times compare with actual F3?

They're quite a bit slower, but they're not the same cars. The F3 cars are better in several ways... Actually I just looked up the specs, the difference is bigger than I thought: the W series runs a 1.8l 270 bhp turbo, F3 runs a 380bhp 3.4l naturally aspirated engine.
